Me and my boyfriend won a nights bed and breakfast for the Marine Hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. We are from Hartlepool so have never actually stayed in the Marine but it was lovely. Stayed in the Marine suite and it was amazing; massive room and very clean. We bought a meal in the restaurant and we both got...

We booked for Wednesday and Thursday nights in January, when the hotel seemed very quiet. The price was low, but we had a large room with a comfortable bed. I had phoned to request a sea view which the receptionist was more than pleased to accommodate. The cooked breakfast was tasty and ample. Coffee only instant but to be expected...

This charming old hotel welcomes you in. The staff were very friendly and only too happy to assist with any requests. We had both dinner and breakfast included in the price of our room. Our room was in the building that was a later addition to the hotel. It was a large room with plenty of storage and light. We...

We have recently just celebrated our wedding at the marine hotel, and I tell you what they did us proud. The manager Christine went that extra mile with her team to make sure it was a MAGICAL day a one that we will never forget. We had the marine suite to stay in and it was so spacious and light...

First time staying here and would most definitely recommend. Rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable with bedding of a high standard, all staff were extremely polite, friendly and approachable. Food served was good quality produce and cooked to perfection, was nothing short of delicious.

We only stayed one night but the room was above average for this price bracket, well appointed and very clean. Plenty of good parking. The staff were extremely polite and helpful in what is, after all a fairly desolate spot these days. I always wonder what these faded Victorian/Edwardian hotels were like in their heyday, wonderful I suspect. Sadly the...

We had the Marine Suit (Room 20). Perfect for a family of 4, four poster bed & 2 singles. Great views out over the beach & sea. 3 seater sofa, TV with several satellite channels, free wifi. Good bathroom with corner bath (usable shower unit but not attached to wall & no curtain available so you had to be careful...

I've stayed here many times before when playing golf at the local top class links course located about 600 yards from the hotel. Sadly the purpose this time was a funeral. My wife was uneasy about the standard she would find for a £60 B&B including breakfast .Happily she was delighted with my choice. Reception was friendly and helpful ....
