We had our wedding at the Staincliffe Hotel and stayed overnight. The hotel staff organised the wedding reception and evening reception perfectly. They couldn't have been more helpful and we had a wonderful day. The room was very spacious and clean with a great sea view. I have been staying at this hotel on and off for 34 years. Our recent stay has been dreadful. We had heard rumours that the hotel was in trouble and I rang the hotel three times and was reassured that our stay would be seamless and comfortable. There was no mention at all that the hotel had gone in to...

No bar staff to be seen upon arrival, then charged £2.20 for this, poured out of a 2L bottle of diet coke!!!! Feel totally ripped off. We'll be skipping the food now if this is the service and the prices we're expected to accept .....

I stayed at this hotel over a long period whilst on business in the area. I saw the hotel deteriorate to the sorry state it is in now! The staff are absolutely fantastic for persevering under extremely difficult circumstances, however. Some have recently left due to these circumstances. This place is clearly crying out for major investment, if it has...
