We stayed for a couple of nights so that we could do the Steam railway trip to Whitby -10 Min walk to the Station. The room, breakfast and welcome were excellent. Sarah Made us feel valued and very Homely. Highly Recommended.

This was our second visit to Pickering area, and Pear Tree House. This time we hired the cottage, which was charming and efficient. We did and saw so much, and had a mixed bag of weather, which didn't get in the way at all. Steam train, stunning Yorkshire moors, local foods and cafes, dramatic Robin hoods bay, a traditional fishing...

Just got back from a lovely stay at the pear tree,lovely hosts and our garden room and separate bathroom was lovely. Breakfasts both days lovely and great selection . Will stay again for sure ,great b&b for Pickering .highly recommended !

I found Pear tree on the net and the web site reflected the accommodation. Clean, crisp and well layed out. The breakfasts are wonderful without being too much. I would definitely recommend Pear tree to other visitors and will be going back for a longer visit soon.

This was our second stay and was just as good as the first time. Lovely clean, warm, quiet room with very comfortable beds and a great tasty breakfast with perfect poached eggs.....couldn't ask for more will definitely be back, Many thanks

Room very cosy, nice and warm ( in Feb) room large, VERY clean nothing to complain about !! breakfast very good, ( plates came warm) hosts very welcoming ! served fruit with raspberries strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi fruit, then full Yorkshire breakfast, and asked if we wanted more !! car parking was including .

Our second visit to pear tree house. - Again absolutely perfect. A very friendly family, nothing too much bother, delicious breakfast, free parking, close to steam trains station. We will be back for sure.

Stayed here on a visit from NZ with our 10 year old granddaughter. A warm welcome awaited us from Sarah and Chris. Our room was spacious, immaculate and other facilities really great. Breakfasts were of high quality and generous. Pickering is a lovely place to stay as other reviewers have commented. We really enjoyed ourselves at The Pear Tree and...

The Pear Tree was a great place to stay for a weekend break, and Chris and Sarah made us, and our boisterous dog Riley, feel very welcome. They even lent us a parking pass for Dalby forest, so we could enjoy the area better. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice & the rooms were well decorated & spotlessly...
