A hotel surrounded by beautiful woodland. Vicki and Roy welcome you to the Cwmwennol Country House which sits in the Swallowtree woods, gradually extending towards the shoreline and westwards towards Monkstone Point. If you fancy a stroll to the beach then take the path through the woods and you will be there in minutes. The bright and well-appointed rooms all have en-suite shower or bath, a television and a hospitality tray. The restaurant is non-smoking and has a wide selection of delicious meals on offer and, for the smaller appetite bar snacks. Whilst staying at the Cwmwennol Country House you will not be short of things to do with plenty of beaches to explore, the furthest being a thirty-minutes drive away. The Georgian town of Tenby has a beautiful harbour and is a must for anybody visiting the area. With three castles in the surrounding area Manorbeir, Pembroke and Carew you won't be short of fun things to do.

Situated in a wood it is off the beaten track a mile or so outside Saundersfoot
The room was tidy, clean and well supplied with coffee/tea makings. A nice touch was the fudge and biscuits on the bed !
Steps into the room and up to the enormous bathroom may be a problem for the more elderly
Our bath hot tap seemed jammed but Roy quickly set too and had it all fixed in minutes .
Breakfast was excellent with a large menu range, which has to be pre-.
ordered, which I do not find to be a problem.
One suggestion might be that Sam ,who was ever charming and helpful, might want to consider slightly smarter dress for the dining room.
Overall an excellent stay, well priced and we look forward to returning later in the year.
Thank you Vicky ,Roy and Sam

We had a lovely 2 night stay here, me,my husband and little dog were made to feel very welcome. Nice touches in the room, little bags of hand made fudge and home made biscuits and a little bag of dog bones for my doggie. Nice big car park, lovely woods to walk our dog. Had a couple of drinks in the evening in the bar, was nice to chat with Roy and a big bonus for us on our last night was seeing badgers and foxes in the floodlit garden through the window, which was fantastic. Breakfast was lovely, preordered and spoilt for choice. Will definitely stay again.

My daughter and I were at Cwmwennol Country House for 2 nights and I can say that it was the best place where we stayed during our 10-day drive round South and West Wales. People were very kind and helpful, the food was excellent and the view from our room was fantastic, just natural woods, blue sea and clear sky! No traffic noise at all as it is set in the woods, not too far from the main road but far enough to make sure no noise would disturb our stay. Lovely, in one word!

The photos of this hotel do not reflect the state of the hotel inside!! Drab tired and not clean. We checked out after one night as the bathroom was dirty with cobwebs on the floor. This is the first week after lockdown they should be ashamed. Breakfast was sparse and had to be collected from reception our hotel we moved to were able to serve a full cooked breakfast served in your room or the the garden area. One of the worst hotels we have stayed in

I booked to stay at Cwmwennol but after reading some negative reviews I was quite worried on what to expect.
I didn’t have to worry at all. The room was comfortable, warm and very clean. The breakfast was a grab & go where we could have the choice to eat in our room or in the bar area which suited us fine. The selection of food available in the morning was brilliant from cereal to a hot full English. The staff were very always friendly & polite.

It was worth the stay! Thanks again!

The location and views from our room were lovely but this place is in desperate need of repairs and decoration. Although our room was clean and the bed comfortable, some of the double glazed windows needed replacement as the seals had blown inside them causing a lot of condensation, the floorboards would dip a lot in one area of the room so we were very wary about standing on that area and the whole place just needs brightening up, modernised and repairs carried out.
The breakfast was plentiful and was perfectly cooked and lovely.

Lovely stay at Cwmwennol Country house.
Stayed in the suite with balcony overlooking sea and woodlands with our 2 dogs.
Room was lovely and clean, welcome gifts of homemade cookies, fruit and bathrobes to wear during our stay. Nice jacuzzi bath - greatly appreciated after lots of walks.
Breakfast was good on a grab and go basis due to Covid, as was dinner each evening. We just ordered in advance and then collected food at a set time from reception.
Very well organised, and staff couldn’t do enough for you.
Some bits need updating but we didn’t go and stay there to look at the fixtures and fittings.
Bed was lovely and comfortable - really good nights sleep.
Will definitely go back when the summer season is over and we can walk our dogs on the beach again.
Thanks for a lovely stay. Xx

Stayed for five nights November 2021. Genuinely hospitable hosts, nice big comfortable room with a superb breakfast. The hotel is set in a quiet secluded location. Our small Jack Russell terrier was made very welcome. Would stay again.

We love staying here. So dog friendly. The owners Roy and Vickie as well as the staff make you so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts allow for many tastes. The full English is great. We had two evening meals and couldn’t fault them. We will be back soon.
