Booked the day before I arrived. Got there mid morning next day and was taken directly to my room. It was a delightful room, with great views. The hotel has so much character. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The evening meal in the hotel was excellent and plentiful. A beautiful location and the hotel was quiet at night,...

U must try this restaurant if you are in Stirling although booking a table is a must in busy times . Good Food and great setting with lovely interior . Portions are massive and if you want a starter and main course don't eat much before u go.quick service but most of all the food is fantastic

We stopped here for lunch before entering Stirling Castle. What a great find! They carry a large variety of beers on tap and the bartender is happy to let you try them. They make a large variety sandwiches but their steak pie is homemade with a rich beef gravy and flaky crust. Absolutely top service!

Stopped here for lunch for a second time. Visit prompt table service from a lovely polite young waitress. Meals brought to table in a timely fashion . Huge portions only downside my plate for my baked potato could have been marginally bigger as i struggled to keep the potato on the plate..definately visit again !!!

My husband and I stopped in to stay for a night during our jaunt through Scotland. We had planned to visit Stirling Castle and were pleasantly surprised to find that The Portcullis is virtually "next door!" Jim and Lynne Walker were a joy to talk to - and the rest of the service staff was helpful and friendly. Dinner was...

This place is full of character, with a great location and great people. Our room (#2) was quiet, spacious and had an amazing view out over the valley. The pub was charming with a nice selection of food and drink. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Thank you to Jamie,...

Fantastic meal and service from the staff on a very busy night. They couldn't have been more help full and the food was delicious. All 6 of us there were more than happy and will be back very soon. Go try it.

The portcullis hotel stands next to Stirling castle. Having visited there we just wanted to pop into a pub for a quick drink before moving on. Going in at 5pm we were greeted by friendly bar staff who happily helped my husband choose a local ale. Not planning on eating until we got back to Glasgow the delightful young lady...

Visited here on Friday night for a birthday meal. Nice little place. Food was very good. Prices seemed fair. Only a little issue with lack of service after finishing main courses but I would not let this put me off and will more than likely return.

We stopped in Stirling on our way up to Keith and stayed here. We checked in and were shown to a small but well equipped room. It comes with all the things you would expect, TV, Tea and Coffee and bathroom supplies. The room was light, clean and airy. Downstairs is a great little pub, with a nice pub garden....
