Spent 3 nights on B&B during the Easter holidays. Room was large with comfortable beds and cleaned daily throughout our stay. All staff were friendly and hard working, especially throughout breakfast service. Hotel in a great location in the centre of Stirling, with the added bonus of free on-site parking. An old hotel with lots of 'character' and lovely communal...

Pros: Very conveniently located to walk to Stirling Castle. Some good restaurants are nearby. The room was absolutely huge, with high ceiling, a sofa, coffee table, and two lounge chairs, as well as large desk. The shower was nice and large, with a nice hand-held shower head. Heated towel rack worked well. If you want the full Scottish breakfast, order...

Lovely hotel in Central Stirling, great for tourists visiting this beautiful historical city. Room clean with very comfortable bed. Buffet style breakfast. Beautiful hotel inside with lots to see, only fault would be parking as when we arrived there were no spaces in the hotel park, which meant we had to move the car later I'm the evening. Hotel definitely...

We did not stay at the hotel, but did have dinner in the restaurant. Elegant style. Excellent service. Local menu. Asked the Maitre d' for a recommendation for a local single-malt scotch whisky (we're not big drinkers but wanted to try local single-malt whisky while in Scotland) . He was very helpful; asked what we liked and recommended a very...

Stayed at the Golden Lion last night. The hotel is fine, and the room was a good size and clean, if not a little to warm. What we didn't realise on booking this hotel is they do a lot of functions, so we were awake until 1am as the music was so loud we thought the party was in our...

Stayed here on a dinner bed and breakfast deal, on arrival the reception is lovely with plenty of seats and the reception staff were very efficient. Our room was on the fifth floor and there you would think you were in a different hotel, rooms were very dated, old furniture, tv sitting on a tiny table below the size of...

I attended a 50th Birthday celebration in the ballroom of the Golden Lion on May 9th. What a delightful venue with the most wonderful staff. From the decor to the magnificent catering, helpful, efficient bar staff, (and really reasonable bar prices for a hotel)I could not fault any aspect of the function. We had an event manager at the party...

Stayed here for a night out in Stirling. The reception area is very spacious with a lot of seating. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and check in was easy. Our room was large and had a double bed, a sofa, chair and a coffee table, so ample space. The bathroom looked recently refurbished although I had a problem...

Stayed here this week for 2 nights on business. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful as were all the other staff. The reception area, bar area and restaurant areas all look fresh, clean and inviting with various places to sit. Slightly different story as you head to your room. Whilst the room itself was clean and the bed comfortable,...
