I stayed here last night and did not sleep at all!! I had a 320 mile journey and got to the hotel at 12.40am, as you can imagine I couldn't wait to get into bed after a long journey and get some sleep. I had 2 single beds in my room with unwashed cushions and throws on the bottom and...

Excellent location in the heart of Stirling. Excellent staff, we couldn't find hotel parking initially as city is now one way (google maps hasn't updated) parked and walked over to hotel, reception staff were very good, provided directions with map and let us into private parking area. Room a good size with sofa, bathroom looks like recently updated, all amenities...

Although there was plenty of rooms available we were given a room with scaffold outside and a window that wouldn't close. The heating was Very meagre and I came down with a bug and had to stay three nights instead of one. By the time I got out of that room I felt like I was being buried alive. The...

Good value one night stay with nothing to be concerned about. The pub is great and fab beer, my room was just ok, but they are renovating the place so looks more rundown than normal. The staff were good and just beware the car park entrance is before you see the hotel so easily missed and you need to endure...

My wife and I stayed at the Golden Lion Hotel in Stirling for two nights. The room was excellent as was the evening meal and the traditional breakfasts. The staff were very nice and helpful and the atmosphere in the bar friendly and homely. We would certainly stay in the Golden Lion again.

We visited on Sunday for lunch and had a great meal. Restaurant was lovely and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Very reasonably priced as well. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Stirling.

Myself and 3 friends recently booked a long weekend at this hotel. We were not disappointed at all. The rooms were large and spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and the cleanliness of the room was faultless! The food in the hotel is exemplary, we had a full breakfast each morning that kept us going until mid afternoon. Whilst there...

We stayed at this hotel recently and had a wonderful time in Stirling. The hotel was slap bang in the middle of the city centre which made site seeing a breeze. We were only a five minute walk from the magnificent Stirling castle. The hotel staff were excellent and the breakfast was very good. Cannot believe we paid so little for...

Car park is at the rear of the hotel which is handy as the parking is limited in the area. A touch of glamour in the main public areas including the bar and restaurant. Only stayed one night but would definitely return if in the area. Room was a reasonable size with all necessities. A desk/area for drying hair, hair-dyer...
