Having recently returned from 10 exciting years working in the US, Matt and Ruth have taken on this gorgeous property - The Broadmead and are loving the ambience and vibe of this period building. Situated in a leafy suburb just a 20 minute stroll to the historic walled town of Tenby. We have ample car parking in our landscaped grounds. All bedrooms are unique in their decor with complimentary wifi. The gorgeous lawn is lovely for sitting in the sunshine with a glass of champagne or cold beer. Breakfast is served in our contemporary spacious dining room overlooking the south facing gardens. Rumoured to be the best breakfast in town, it gives our visitors a real hearty start to the day.

Detailed Reviews

We had a fabulous stay here, we stayed in the garden room which was lovely. It is situated in the gardens of the hotel in a nice peaceful area, and we were glad we chose this room. The bed was very comfortable with lovely soft pillows.
We had a delicious breakfast the next morning, the nicest we have had in a while. It was all freshly cooked and hot, with a complimentary glass of bucks fizz which was a nice touch. Plenty of other options were available too so there was a good choice!
The staff in the hotel are so lovely, really friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

Received a very warm welcome on arrival and was given a tour of the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for Omar and Miranda. Omar in particular seemed to have every base covered - reception, the bar area and the breakfast room. The decor is lovely in the breakfast room and the lounges. The beds were extremely comfortable and we didn’t hear any noise at night even though the hotel was full. The garden area is lovely with outside seating; perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. The breakfast was warm, well cooked and freshly made, with a good choice of food on both the cold and hot menu. It’s about a 15 minute stroll into the centre or only about £3.50 in a taxi. Plenty of parking spaces, even though the hotel was full. Would certainly book again.

We recently had a 2 night stay in the Garden room at the Broadmead and we loved it. The room was charming and very comfortable with the bonus of our own front door and patio with a table and chairs. Breakfast was really delicious with a wide choice and we enjoyed the complimentary Bucks Fizz each morning👍. The service from all staff was excellent, they were very friendly and extremely helpful. The Broadmead is conveniently situated in a quiet road about a 20minute walk to the harbour, there is a short hill walk on the way back. We had a perfect stay and will definitely return. Thank you all.

We toured Wales, north to south and Broadmead was right up there, excellent accommodation (we stayed in the coach house which is 10 seconds away from the main house) which is very well maintained. The breakfast was also 5 star, the only place in the whole of Wales that we visited that provided a cloth napkin, something that I would expect if restaurants are offering fine dining! There is a bar here, open until 10pm I understand but no evening food options. We therefore walked into Tenby following the helpfully provided map and it took about 20 minutes to the town centre and we also walked home following quite a heavy meal! Taxis are available but book early.
I would thoroughly recommend Broadmead and will definitely return when we visit the area again.

We stayed at the Broadmead for two nights, over the new year. The hotel was set in lovely grounds with a car park and only 20min walk into Tenby. On arrival we found the receptionist, very friendly and showed us round before taking us to our room .
We booked a double room and even though it was small, it wasn't problem to us . The room was very clean but could do with up dating and the hole in the wall, didn't give a very good impression. The bed was comfy and even though, we were in the front of the hotel we didn't hear any noise from the road .
Breakfast was very good, with a continental selection and the poached eggs cooked perfect but would had been nice to have the option of beans and hash browns on the cooked breakfast . The bucks fizz was a nice added touch but would had been nice if we were offered it once we sat down or told to help ourselves, as it was on a separate table in the corner and didn't see it at first .
We would be more then happy to stay here again but I would pay to stay in a better room .

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely and thoughtful review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We are closing throughout January to give our rooms and communal areas a much needed refresh so this is already in hand. We are always happy to help with requests on the cooked breakfast and open to suggestions of areas to improve so I will pass these comments onto the Breakfast team. We do hope we can welcome you back to The Broadmead Boutique after our refurbishment. Kind Regards, Emily

Based on the reviews previously stated before September 2020 there were mentions of the hotel being dated and tired, the new owners have really taken these reviews on board and have smashed it out of the park. We had a warm welcome from Omar which didn’t waste time in assisting us with our bags and showing us around the place with any questions or queries answered along the way, he was very helpful and took us to the garden room that we were very lucky to stay in.
The bathroom is perfect with an amazing power shower and a bath which was convenient after walking around Tenby town all day, the bedroom was perfect with a view of the garden and a bed that you can sink into. Garden furniture also just outside the room and throughout the garden which is also perfect for when it’s the summer and you want to kick back and relax.
All the staff in the B&B were incredibly helpful and polite whilst also providing a top of the range breakfast which even after reading 100s of reviews has never had a complaint about with plenty of choice.
Definitely would stay again and this was brought to Omar’s attention at the check out and he was helpful enough to look at the best dates to book and to look at availability. Definitely would recommend and 100% deserves the #1 reviewed hotel on trip advisor in Tenby

Stayed here for two nights as part of our coastal staycation. The hotel is perfect in every way. From the first greeting with Omar we knew it was going to be a fabulous choice. The hotel is beautifully clean and decorated in a tasteful modern way with each room having a different colour scheme . The breakfast was superb .. top class fresh ingredients with a large choice and the waiting staff were so helpful and obliging .. nothing was too much trouble for the staff every cup of tea came with a little treat - a homemade shortbread or a Welsh cake. The beautiful garden was well maintained and there is even a little room at the top of the stairs used as a library with books to borrow. Fresh flowers in the room, gorgeous toiletries, a lovely tea / coffee tray with a daily treat in the room with a flask of fresh milk. The little touches make this hotel the best we’ve ever stayed in. A 15 20 minute walk will get you into the main town in Tenby which was extremely busy and we preferred the short drive to the quieter Saundersfoot.. very pretty . Well done to everyone at the hotel - Omar is such a great guy very friendly and helpful he seems to be everywhere all at once in the hotel he is super busy. We loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to give it full marks ( and more!) heaven in Pembrokeshire !!

This hotel is clearly well managed as the staff were just perfect . So helpful and polite. The room was nice, the bed comfortable and there was a lot of attention to detail . Fresh glowers, shortbread every day on drinks tray as well as well positioned plugs and mirror for doing hair. The only negative was lack of a shelf in bathroom to put stuff on. The TV reception was a bit dodgy too. Breakfast was a delight- great selection & complimentary bucks Fizz. Lovely attention to detail again in the stylish dining room…. Proper linen napkins, lovely jam pots etc . and all with faultless service. A slight disadvantage is the distance from the centre of Tenby … about 20 minutes walk and some quite uphill! However we consoled ourselves by saying it’d do us good!

A lovely hotel, parking seemingly a little chaotic when busy, the ground floor was all beautifully done with doors out to a lawned area. The breakfasts were wonderful with lots of choice and very helpful and attentive waitresses. However, the standard double was on the small side, and would be well worth scaling up for a bit bigger room, despite keeping the windows open all night it was very very hot. The bed linen and towels were all beautiful quality and spotless. However, the room looked a little tired, the carpet would've benefitted from cleaning, and a few marks on the walls. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay and my husband said he wouldn't mind going again in the future.

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, one of the best we've ever had in a hotel. The room was comfortable and even though the hotel was fully booked there was no noise from other rooms. The outdoor seating area was a nice place to enjoy a drink in the afternoon.

Ashby de la Zouch, United Kingdom67 contributions47 helpful votesDo you have accessible rooms or does the hotel have easy access to rooms on first floor with a walk in shower as my mother struggles to walk
I cannot use stairs but their garden room is on the ground floor with its own separate entrance - It has a beautiful en suite shower and bath an a king size divan bed. Basically it is gorgeous!

Hi, it’s about 15 minutes mainly downhill. We used to walk into the town on the evening and then get a taxi back. It,s a lovely hotel.
About 3/4 of a mile mile.
