Just returned from a stay at The Esplanade. Absolutely amazing place we loved every minute. Decoration throughout is beautiful with a really classy relaxing feel. We stayed in room 33 stunning views out to sea. Staff were all so helpful from the moment we arrived and we cannot wait to return
The photos on Trip Advisor don’t do the hotel justice. The restaurant has been revamped and looks amazing. We had a premier room with a 4 poster bed and en suite, no complaints on the room and the bed was really comfy. Our friends had one of the revamped rooms and it was stunning. Graham can’t do enough for you and is lovely. The girls who work the breakfast are also great. The breakfast was fabulous also, no expense spared on the full English, everything was great.
This was our second visit to the Esplanade and, again, we were not disappointed. The hotel is small, friendly, well equipped, clean and perfectly situated in close proximity the south beach and the town centre. The hotel is very comfortable: our room had a four poster bed which was extremely comfortable, a huge TV with lots of channel options, an excellent en suite bathroom and a perfect view which could be enjoyed from easy chairs situated in the large picture bay window. The staff are all hard working, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast offered a good choice of serials, juices, fruit, cooked breakfast variations and endless tea and coffee. All in all, a faultless and most enjoyable stay, well done Graham, Angela and Pauline. We'll be back soon
Arrived with a friends for one night as part of a mini tour of South Wales. Great service from the owner Graham. Single room was small but decorated to a high standard with excellent shower room and fantastic view of the beach. Good breakfast in the morning too which set you up for the day. Will not hesitate in booking here again when I return to Tenby.
Just returned from 2 night break. Was so.looking forward to visiting this hotel after reading the reviews. On arrival the receptionist handed us keys to room 31. She almost apologised and said the excellent breakfast would make up for the room at the top. It was 62 steps to our very small loft room with a tiny bathroom with a floor sloping to the right! To say I was disappointed was an under statement. We are by no means unfit in our 60th years but carrying our case up to that room via 62 stairs was no pleasure. Breakfast was indeed good with plenty of choice and very polite friendly staff. Not once did we meet anyone who owned or managed the hotel. Fire doors were wedged open on staircases which was quite shocking given that we were 4 floors up (62 stairs) . On day 2 we noticed cleaners had left the door open to a beautiful bedroom with Seaviews and lovely bathroom in fact you could have fitted our whole room and bathroom in that bathroom!. I can appreciate that given a nice room on a lower floor would have changed the whole experience and we did email in advance offering to pay the difference for a nice room but was just told place was full. My advice if you book this hotel check that you don't have a room in the loft before you arrive as a lot of people (like us) can manage stairs within reason but 62 on 4 th floor was just a bit too much. On departure I was going to mention this nicely to owner/receptionist but when I put my key on the reception counter was greeted rather shockingly by a barking 🐕.…
We just came back from a night away for my wife's birthday. We stayed at the Esplanade. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. Brilliant views of the sea and surrounding area from room. Very clean and tidy. Can highly recommend.
What a lovely hotel great location close to the beach and the town Room was clean and tidy breakfast was lovely and plenty of it definitely would stay again Just two things that let it down our room 18 was a bit noisy need double glazing fitting Also the room above us must have had wooden flooring you could hear every sound.
Had a lovely stay here and would most definitely come back -The room was clean and of a good size. There was a gothic/steam punk theme with a great colour scheme. Storage space and a wardrobe. 2 windows, one with a sea view. Wooden floors with a rug -The bed was comfortable with lots of extra cushions, side shelves with separate lamps and a large tv with freeview -Bathroom was a little compact but had a full bath with an average shower and Ebony toiletries -Breakfast was fab - lots to pick from with cereals, fruits, juices. The coffee was filter coffee (cafetière) and the cooked meats were of a really high standard. There were also veggie options and you didn’t get less. Breakfast was included with the room rate -the lobby and rooms look much fresher and high quality than the images I’ve seen on trip advisor so wondering if there had been refurbished either way I loved the decor, very high end - the hotel is located at the south beach which is handy for a dip in the sea (when I stayed the tide came in during the morning and the south beach didn’t re-appear until much later in the day). It’s a fairly steep walk down steps to the beach or walk down the street for paths -parking is a short walk away (350m). It cost £20 for 3 nights at the seafront car park. 5 arches cost £9 per day -the shops, pubs, restaurants etc are literally a stones throw away but the location is just far enough from the main drag to be reasonably quiet. I could hear the sea. Negatives - the Wi-Fi is pretty intermittent, this seems to be the case throughout Tenby with many dead spots with zero signal but it helped keep my boyfriend off his phone!…
We have just returned after another magical 4 days in Tenby and stayed at the Esplanade Hotel. We have followed the owner, Graham journey with the redecoration of the rooms for the past 3 years. Our room we stayed at this year is the last room to be revamped and we can't wait to go back and see what he has done. Breakfast is piping hot and delicious. The view is always exceptional absolutely breathtaking . The lack of a lift is great for us as it's a great excuse to get those legs moving . Already booked for next year for a week this time.
