We arrived at 1430 hrs and had to call by telephone to raise the owner who made it quite clear that there would be an additional charge of £12 per dog per night for our 2 dogs. The owner was pleasant but was very keen to make it clear that we would need to pay the dog additional charge by cash. We did receive an email when booking stating the dogs would be £12 per night but were surprised when this was each! The owners daughter showed us to our room and was very pleasant. The room was in a good location for the dogs at the top of the driveway and led directly out onto a small garden. The double room was however very small and you could barely get down each side of the bed. The room was clean along with the spacious bathroom. The walk into Tenby was fine and only took 15 mins. Overall we were satisfied with the accommodation but would only give it 3 stars based on the size of the room and the lack of clarity around the charging for the dogs.

Booked the Red Rooster Rest for a 1 night stay in Tenby to celebrate our wedding anniversary - normally we are away in sunnier climates but for obvious reasons we had to make alternate plans this year. Nice quite location on the outskirts of the town and a very high specification accommodation. Marion was very welcoming and the room was very clean, well furnished and spacious and all the usual facilities that you would expect from a guest house with its star rating. Being tall I did have to watch the low beams which were a nice feature of the rooms. Although only about 15 mins walk into the town, I would choose an accommodation closer to the town next time but this is not a reflection on the standard of the accommodation and hospitality. Marion does have a couple of dogs so this is something to consider in your decision if you are not a dog owner - I am not and this would be my only other reason to stay elsewhere. To be fair to Marion she does make it clear that it is a dog friendly accommodation so I guess I should have considered this more carefully before booking. However we had a lovely weekend in Tenby with a very comfortable nights stay at the Red Rooster - thank you Marion.

Was very worried reading the reviews but totally blown away by this guesthouse. We were in number 1, a separate annex room beautifully clean and perfect, Katie handed us our key after
a very warm welcome and we enjoyed our stay Room was fab, plenty of pretty flowers, outside space and shared lounge, everything spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again, it's a tranquil haven of prettiness close to town centre and we loved it! Check in/out easy and hosts are v accommodating!

When looking for somewhere to stay for an overdue and well deserved holiday, I came across Red Rooster, The rooms looked really good, Lounge and Kitchen looked fabulous and the gardens looked amazing in the photos, the reviews are all pretty good.
On arrival, it dawned on me straight away that the Garden had been partitioned off, Worse still, the Kitchen was the owner's private kitchen, By showing pictures of things that are not included in the deal is a misrepresentation. I have to be fair and state I fully understand the lounge been closed due to the Corona Virus.
The Bedroom was on-suite with a Jaqusi bath and shower, However, I am 5ft 6" I had to lean over sideways to use the loo due to the angle of the ceiling, anyone above 6ft tall I should imagine will have a real problem.
The bed was really comfy and the room nicely furnished, with tea and coffee, a Kettle, and a hairdryer but that that was it. Nothing to eat with, or put food into such as plates bowls knives, and forks.

In our room, the floor creaked everywhere you walked.
I was further shocked to be informed there was a charge of £12 per night for each of our two dogs, bearing in mind for a room only this charge is really steep, I would be happy to pay to say £40 for the week. (Average charge in other places)

Red Rooster claims to be dog friendly but only because they charge so much, There was nothing for the £24 a night charge, In Previous hotels, we have stayed in, there have been dog beds, bowls to put their food and water in, Luckily we had taken our own.
Breakfast was £6 each and optional on a hamper basis,
We had to go home early due to a family illness but to be frank would have left early anyway as the room only was not a holiday situation for us, For what it offers Red Rooster is very expensive, and not good value for money, It is fair to say we will not be returning

what a dishonest review. You had a lovely room overlooking our beautiful garden, you and your partner were welcomed warmly accompanied by your two dogs. May I remind you that Red Rooster is guest accommodation not a Hotel as you described, I would be very surprised indeed if any guest house owner would willingly allow the use of there personal kitchen for you to use,if you require theses facilities rent a cottage. Now I want to refresh your memory , your dogs behaved badly and as an owner so did you allowing your dogs to urinate more than once on the bedroom carpet and to also sick up on it without informing the owner ,and when challenged you tried to tell me these events did not happen denying this and informing me your dogs could not possible behave in this way . I then produced photos that I had taken of the room you had left that morning and you then became very defensive and decided the embarrassment of your liars resulted in your early departure This is how often guest behave with dishonest reviews it help justify there embarrassment. Shame on you and those that behave in this way .

Booked 4 December 2023 for 11 May 2024 via Agoda and Red Rooster called booking late on 9 May 2024. Big event ending in Tenby so no rooms available nearby - outrageous behaviour, most disappointing and very, very inconvenient.
Will never consider Red Rooster as an option in Tenby in the future.
Totally unprofessional.

We paid for this 12 months ago as it was for ironman weekend. We turned up and the lady said she had no record of the booking was extremely rude and suggested we tried on the front (on ironman weekend! and that she never takes a booking for 1 night on ironman wkd). We had to sleep in the car. You will note from the photo she is advertising 1 night for next year's ironman. Contacted hotels.com and eventually got my money back. They said it was the hotels fault and the issue is ongoing.

My wife and I decided to book accommodation for a random overnight stay in our beloved Tenby and decided to give the Little Red Rooster Rest a try!

I’m really glad that we did as it was very reasonably priced and the accommodation was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and warm!!!

Tenby centre is only a short walk away so it was perfectly placed.

Marion (the owner) is an absolute darling and made us feel very welcome and insisted on showing us to our room despite the horrific weather conditions!!!

Overall it is a really lovely place and one we will definitely visit again soon.

Thanks Marion from Justin and Max

We had the king size bedroom with double jacuzzi bath. The bed was most comfortable and the jacuzzi excellent after a days walking etc. The room was spacious, airy and clean. We had a daily service/clean. Host Marion was charming and informative. Unfortunately due to Covid the shared kitchen (with 3 other apartments was closed, great shame we could have done with ice for our evening G&Ts). This lovely accommodation is in a great location just a 10-15 minute stroll from the town centre boasting many lovely restaurants - try The Stables which needs booking well in advance. Only slight criticism is that the TV was small. We will certainly use again!

We have booked this quiet hotel for our first anniversary.
To be honest writing this review took me a week since we have visit the place ,as I can't get my head around how someone charge £96 for " what we have experienced there " .
We have arrived at 2pm as agreed with the owner on 3 phone conversations prior.
She has opened the door and told us that room wasn't ready yet and asked us to wait 20 mins in the pouring rain outside .
Eventually we have been taking to our room ,which was completely different than the room we have booked.
The state of the room and whole b&b ( as you can't call it hotel ) was horrendous ( photos attached ) .
We do travel a lot ,and never have been so disappointed and frustrated like after visit this place .
The photos online are completely different to reality .
Please don't go there as the lady is just con artist.

What a nasty bully.
We had to move from one room to anotherdue to double booking.
The room was cramped not suitable for two dogs she charged an extra 25 pounds a night for the dogs.
Anything she didn't feelwas right she blamed on us
There was nowhere to sit in the room apart from one chair.
There was a leak in the bathroom coming from the hand basin which we were blamed for.
We were asked to leave four days early from are hzhs holiday for which she owes us money.
She told my partner I have issues due to a mental. illness.
My father has very recently died
