Two ready made coffees in disposable cups in the room. No other tea or coffee making facilities. No toiletries.
Carpeted halls leading to room smelt old and dirty.
Unfortunately despite the great room and location our stay in Tenby House was one which was shadowed by a feeling that the place wasn’t doing well and couldn’t be bothered to make the effort to change that. Even in Covid 19 there is no excuse for a lack of teas and coffees in a £90 room.
Tenby is pretty with lovely beaches but hasn’t got enough restaurants for the number of places to stay. We couldn’t find anywhere to book or turn up to on Sat night so ended up with a takeaway on the balcony.
Checking in was at the very busy bar of this popular pub ( but no night noise). Very nice staff.
When asking what time was breakfast we were told there was none (blaming covid!!) despite the web site (Facebook) mentioning it. I felt cheated and overcharged.
The room was 3 floors up but nice and well appointed.
All this poor communication spoilt it.

between 11 and 17:30 the core of the city (all within the old city walls is car-free, to the beach 5 minutes
The room was nice and clean !
Oscar , one of the service people, was super nice and helpful !
Would just like to say the staff were lovely.polite, nothing too much trouble and took the time to talk.
Every time someone left tables, benches and chairs were sanitised. Table service, staff wearing masks really organised. Best pub in Tenby.
The hotel is very well positioned in the heart of the town. The pub is busy & vibrant with plenty of seating and a welcoming atmosphere.
This was our first visit to Tenby and we were not disappointed, the beaches are outstanding and we took a boat trip to Caldey island where the beaches were stunning, crystal clear water.
We hope to visit next year and stay at Tenby house again.
Thank you Lesley for looking after us.
I just had to leave a review as was so impressed with the friendly staff, and the food was absolutely amazing. Although I thought the prices were a bit on the expensive side, being in such a tourist place and in the heart of tenby town it was also expected. Once we had eaten the amazing food we didn't mind paying the money.
Would recommend this place very highly.
No tables were available at 7.35 and staff tried hard to turn us away when we wanted to eat (food finishes at 8pm), very reluctant to allow us to wait to see if a table became available, but eventually allowed us to sit outside. Food was overpriced considering it was very average pub grub (£15/16 for ribs/burgers, £14 for a mushroom risotto.) We're in Tenby, not on the King's Road.
However, what annoyed me the most was the young, lecherous waiter ogling my 16 year-old daughter and openly flirting with her and asking for her number in front of me. It made her feel embarrassed and awkward as well as myself and my 10 year old son. It was the first evening of our holiday and a favourite place for us to go and I didn't want to tarnish the meal and spoil things by complaining, but looking back, I really wish I had as this behaviour was unprofessional, inappropriate and unacceptable. A favourite place to go no longer. I will not be returning.
Location is perfect as is right in the centre of town.
We really enjoy our stay which we have been looking forward to since lockdown.
10 out of 10 from us
"Not helpful in any way. We had the money, they had the rooms but we couldn’t stay or be helped because no one was in office although staff"Read full review
