Detailed Reviews
Yet another delightful stay at this lovely hotel. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing being too much trouble. The position is wonderful with the best view of Tenby from the outside terrace. The food is excellent both at breakfast and dinner, and served with such professionalism, especially from Mike & his wife Agi. My Affogato friends. !!
The public areas are well maintained and decorated in a classical way with a modern twist, that goes well together.
I had a single room that was one of the best I've ever encountered, as often single rooms are little more than a glorified broom cupboard, and appear to be an after thought.

This establishment must be the best hotel in Tenby.
It's beautifully furnished in a traditional way with a very modern twist, but all fits well together.
All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, from reception to the waiting staff and room attendants.
The food cannot be faulted both at breakfast and dinner.
I was booked into a single room, something that always fills me with trepidation, as my experiences of single rooms over many years as a solo traveller have been dreadful. Fortunately room 311 was more than adequate, with a large double bed and a fully equipped en-suite bathroom.
The grounds are well tended and the swimming pool is a real bonus and the terraced area overlooking Tenby Harbour is a lovely spot for a drink and refreshments at any time of day.
All in all ,a gem of a seaside hotel.

Third visit to this hotel in past two years, and it always meets my expectations. The decor is excellent and cleanliness is superb. Rooms are tastefully furnished and more than adequate, and always hot water in the bathroom.
Breakfasts are very good with enough choice to meet all tastes. Dinner meals are also well presented and in good portions on piping hot plates. !!
Staff throughout the hotel are very welcoming, and seem eager to please, especially waiting staff in dining room.

Beautiful hotel but we are currently booked in a room on the third floor - 60 stairs from the reception and almost 80 stairs from the restaurant.
When we arrived, 17th June, we were informed that the lift wasn’t working. We wrongly assumed we would be able to manage the 3 flights but my husband has a pacemaker and I have a pulled Achilles tendon so we struggled enormously. At check in I asked if we could have a room on a lower level but I was told nothing was available. After struggling the 3 flights, unpacking all our clothes and toiletries, we were told that if we wanted to move to a ground floor inferior room one was amazingly available. Too late!! We had already struggled and were hoping the lift would be available the next day.
On the 18th June the lift was repaired. The next day it broke down again!! 60 stairs again to get to our room.
My complaint is that the hotel owners knew that the lift was inoperative 3 weeks prior to our stay and should have given us the option of cancelling our booking without charge.
This did not happen.
We have 2 more nights of staying here; dreading every single movement outside our room. We are both in our 70’s and struggling with our health.
Anyone with an upcoming booking should check!!

Booked direct via the hotel's website, taking advantage of their Autumn special offer of three nights for the price of two. The website shows a price of around ÂŁ90 per night so you would expect to pay ÂŁ180 for three nights if you get one night free wouldn't you? Wrong ! Upon checking out we were presented with a bill for ÂŁ270 and upon querying this were informed that we had misunderstood the offer and that the price of ÂŁ90 on the website had already been discounted by a third. Now, we are not stupid and can see what the hotel has done here but this really feels like almost a deliberate attempt to hoodwink potential guests.
The receptionist went on to explain that quite a few people had complained about the misleading website but that was not her problem and they all had to pay up, as would we. Further, although she agreed that the website was misleading, it is managed by an outside agent and is beyond the hotel's control. I'm afraid I don't believe that. Anybody running a business and receiving even just one customer complaint, never mind a few, would surely investigate and take action to put things right. This hotel's management would be well advised so to do, unless of course, it is a deliberate attempt to deceive.
Our stay was pleasant enough and, although the room was small, it was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. The heating system is centrally controlled by reception and is preset at 22'C during the day and 18'C at night. Given that the window was draughty, this temperature was just about bearable. Upon request, the temperature can be adjusted. We spent very little time in the room so felt it wasn't worth troubling anybody. The water pressure from the shower is poor. Interior walls must be thin since we could hear the people next door and were woken on occasions by a baby crying.
Breakfasts are excellent and served by friendly and competent staff. Well done to them.
The hotel gardens are spectacular and very well maintained. They must look a picture in the Summer.
If you suffer with mobility problems, this is not the place for you. There are steps everywhere although also a lift should you be staying on a high floor. Central Tenby is delightful but is some distance downhill from the hotel, so again you need to be fit and mobile.
Our first visit to Tenby will not be our last. We were there for the Blues Festival weekend, something we really enjoyed and can recommend. What a pity it ended on such a sour note.

Rooms are clean, but very basic, the walls were very thin and you could hear conversations in the rooms next door. We paid for a partial sea view room and felt that it was very expensive for what we got. Overall we felt that we did not get value for money for over ÂŁ200 per night we paid.

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful few days at this lovely hotel. From the moment you walk through the door, the staff cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. Our room was immaculate, and tastefully decorated, with a lounge area with views over North Beach. We had both breakfast and evening meal on each day of our stay, and enjoyed our meals immensely. Portions are generous, and the quality and presentation of food is excellent. The grounds of the hotel are attractive and impeccably maintained, and we thoroughly recommend you take a drink out onto the terrace overlooking the beach, as a relaxing way to end the day. We cannot fault anything about our stay here, and would definitely recommend that you pay a visit. We will definitely be returning again.

Quite a nice hotel. Plenty of parking and 2 EV chargers (I got one both nights I stayed).
Very friendly staff with a very nice pool area for the hotter days. The room I had was quite small but very quiet and the bed was very comfy (it was great to have a very firm and a soft pillow on each side of the bed).
Breakfast was very nice, cooked to order and exactly as you ask for it.
Great views of North Beach in Tenby and direct access to the beach from the front of the hotel.
Wi-fi worked fine even in my room tucked in the far corner of the hotel on the top floor.
not so good bits:-
The shower in my room on the 3rd floor was very feeble. It was nice and hot and the temperature stayed ok but the flow was very very slow.
You have 'sittings' for breakfast so you cant just wander down when you are ready.
I ate my evening meal in the hotel on the first night and it was quite mediocre (especially given the price). Also the cooking oil used to fry the chips was weeks past its best and left the chips with a bad taste which meant I couldn't eat them.
It is about 3/4 of a mile into the centre of Tenby and a very nice stroll either on the road or via the beach, however the walk back is pretty much all up hill and could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. As could the steps down to the beach which are quite steep. The Hotel is maybe 150 feet above the beach itself. Also this route is only available when the tide permits.
in conclusion:-
I stayed at the Park Hotel on business and would not hesitate to stay again. I would simply eat in Tenby where there a large number of different eating establishments. I may be put off by the fixed breakfast 'sittings' if I was considering the Park Hotel for a leisure trip though.
I would also ask for a room with a more powerful shower.

The location is fabulous. The Park Hotel sits high above Tenby harbour and sandy beach. We were lucky with fantastic weather. There is a path down to the beach from immaculately kept hotel gardens. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool at the hotel. It was well used by other residents while we were there. We preferred sitting reading on the terrace overlooking the sea or in partial shade on settees near the bar. Breakfast was well organise and one could choose a time slot to avoid congestion. It was advised that we prebooked evening dinner time, and chose the starter and main course by 5pm. It sounds a bit regimented but in practice it worked well. The meals always had generous portions. Their home made lemon meringue pie was delicious. Our room was adequate, and there is a carpark. If full, there is on street parking which was free. The staff in the restaurant were exceptional and many of them were long standing employees. One had worked there for 37 years. One of the front of house team helped me to set up a zoom lecture in one of their quiet rooms. My husband managed to drop a tray of tea over himself. The hotel team had washed and ironed his trousers by the following day!
Tenby and surrounds such as Caldey Island are great places to visit. We also had some fantastic views playing golf at Trefloyne golf club.
There is something to enjoy for all ages ranges in Tenby. I am still smiling with happiness after this holiday.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel in Tenby. The hotel is situated on the North Cliff end would be a good 15 minute walk into the centre of town. The walk is mainly downhill all the way but there are some slopes closer to the town. The walk back to the hotel is mainly uphill but doable. Our room was on the first floor so our views were limited however there are areas in the hotel grounds where there is outdoor furniture and the views are spectacular. There is also an outdoor swimming pool which we were told was heated but we did not use it. The hotel décor is magnificent. Breakfast is served in two settings which you need to choose at the time of cheque in. The breakfast room runs very efficiently the staff are very friendly and courteous. Full English breakfast served was tasty and filling.
