We have just come back from this hotel. We booked this through wowcher for a birthday break weekend. Took us 4 1/2 hours to get there. First impression, parking was on the street with normal charges but we didn't mind. You enter the hotel by about 12 step steps, no slope to wheel your suitcase up. We were warmly greeted...

I was bought as a birthday prescent a weekend at this hotel although it was very dated and not the best condition we laughed about that. What l did not find funny was waking up to be covered with bites which was very upsetting even though l showered straight away and washed all the clothes l took with me when...

We visited this hotel regularly up to about five years ago. We revisited last week. How shabby this hotel is now! The public areas are clean as are the bedrooms but the en-suite needs a good cleaning, mould around the shower cubicle and the toilet seat which looked soiled was in fact in need of replacement. The 'restaurant' was clean...

We paid extra for a upgraded room which had wallpaper pealing off the wall and stains on the ceiling. The shower head was broken and the tv was old and broken. When asked if we could change rooms we were told there was nothing else available. We feel the staff were very unhelpful and we weren't even offered a refund. We...

my partner and i were given a 2 night stay as a thank you gift from a friend and were looking forward to a weekend in a nice modern hotel, we were sorely disappointed, the promised hotel parking was none existant, (although we parked on the street opposite and with shrewd timing managed to do friday night - sunday morning...

Before going I was a bit apprehensive about the hotel having read some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor. However, my fears were allayed as soon as we stepped into hotel. The hotel is clean and very welcoming. The staff, especially the restaurant staff, were very polite and the service was very good. Breakfast was not five star but adequate....

This hotel was very welcoming. The staff were excellent. Rooms very clean and tidy. Not too much choice for evening meal but good enough for us! Given tea or coffee on arrival so that was nice.Good entertainment most nights. Would definately go again.

Had last weekend away via dealcloud. Booking was easy and having upgraded we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find we had the Capstone Suite, a nice big room with a large bay window with lovely white net curtains and good quality curtains. Lovely and clean room, warm and cosy with a nice suite of furniture and a comfy...

Ok, so we didn't expect the ritz and we didn't get it. The hotel it self could do with some modernisation and a few licks of paint but what they lack in ascetics they make up for in hospitality. All members of staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Bar man was particularly useful when we were looking for somewhere to...
