My husband booked two nights at the Olive Branch as a 30th birthday treat for me - he made a great choice! Our room was massive, with a huge comfortable bed and an en suite that included a spa bath. We had beer and prosecco delivered to our room on arrival, which I think my husband had requested. Our room... More

I booked a single room at short notice and was pleased with the warm welcome and lovely room. Breakfast was excellent and there was a great selection. The view over Ilfracombe and the harbour was hard to beat. The Hotels restaurant has Michelin Star!

A gorgeous bed and breakfast, with attentive hosts and linked to an award winning and very attractive restaurant. The only problem: most Ilfracombe restaurants are closed Monday night, but you can't go wrong with Wetherspoons at the harbour!

We had a fabulous three night stay from 13 September through to 16 September. We booked about a month earlier and unfortunately the room we had hoped to book was unavailable and in fact there was only one room left. We needn't have worried though, the room was on the top floor with a view over Fore Street down to... More

First class accommodation, extremely well presented and exceptionally clean. We stayed in room 5, which is the large superior room, the views from both the bedroom and the en-suite are superb. The cooked breakfast was well cooked and delicious. Paul and Carol are perfect hosts and Paul's knowledge of the surrounding area is very helpful on planning days out.

This is a great b&b, centrally located, with extremely clean and modern facilities, run by a very friendly and helpful couple. I've stayed in quite a few places in Ilfracombe and the Olive Branch is the best accommodation in the town. Faultless and a much higher standard than the hotels... and the breakfast is as good as you will get... More

We stayed here for four nights and were thoroughly satisfied with what we found. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, although our rather quirky room on the top floor would have benefitted from more shelves or table tops - not even a hook in the huge bathroom and a rather challenging shower. But very friendly and helpful hosts who provided... More

I had booked the Olive Branch for it's location near to the harbour and had not expected the room to be of note but was pleasantly surprised with the light, bright room and the wonderful view of the sea. The hosts were very helpful, the breakfast was very good. Only niggles- breakfast was busy so it took longer for ours... More

We do thank you for your review, you were advised that you might wish to have breakfast at 8am however you arrived at 8.25 and unfortunately 4 other people were being served at the time so we could not get to you straight away and we do cook all food from fresh. Regards, The Olive Branch. More

This is in Fore Street, in the historic part of town, with all the advantages and disadvantages that go with it. Fore Street is narrow and steep, but pretty, and offers a variety of places to eat. They go up market as you go up hill. Only seven bedrooms. Three floors, no lift. But rooms and beds are clean and... More
