Unfortunately the Foxhunters was closed and was up for redevelopment, shame I remembered it as a very charming welcoming pub hotel with good simple food. It will be a big shame if it does not stay as a pub hotel. Its a great position in a lovely area.

We stayed 4 nights here. There were four of us travelling, I and my husband on honeymoon and my sister and her husband celebrating their 36th wedding anniversary. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne each in our bedrooms. The owner came and shook hands with us at dinner and welcomed us. The menu was simple and the breakfasts...

I agree with many other comments and the situation has not improved. Service was poor both from the chef - it was too much trouble to carve our meat at the carvery - and the staff were not busy but just too indifferent. Had to change several items of cutlery as they were dirty from the self service area and...

I would not recommend this B&B, It was terrible. Overpriced for what you get. Yes its a lovely old building but that is no excuse not for it to be clean. The bedroom we slept in had a 3 light fitting with 2 bulbs out, the bathroom is in desperate need of an update- shower awful, no power/ pressure. Toilet...

Agree with previous reviews - staff can't be bothered and couldn't care less. No idea about customer service. Only around 4 other tables in use. Our 4 meals took around 30 minutes to arrive. After paying 50p extra for each of my children's peas and beans, their meals arrived with salad - returned them and that was put right. Then...

Went for food which was really nice, however the place is a dump and looks run down to hell, the staff just look and act as if they just can't be bothered, and could do with a good kick in the backside or a crash course in customer service. While we were there a guy came in with his dog...

All website details for this place are defunct! do not go if you want what the website says, it isn't happening anymore. You can smell cooking when you walk into this place, its is now so unprofessional and grim. Grubby, shabby and very tired. We were lucky me, my husband and our dog, just put up with sleeping the night, sheets...

We ate here last week at the end of our holiday in Woolacombe. Car park is across from pub on a busy road. As we entered pub it was so quiet, no noise at all which was quite strange. The guy at the bar eventually served me after finishing rolling a cigarette! Then got no greeting- one of our party...

“I think all rooms probably open onto the busy road, I'm not sure. Traffic usually starts up early hours of the morning. We were not there during the day so cannot comment on that. Ask for rooms with double glazing.”

“Rooms on the front are nicer but you need to consider the main road. If you prefer total quiet then ask for room at the back.”
