We stayed with Anne and Hugh at the last minute due to the fully booked hostel in what turned out to be a fortunate turn of events. Hugh welcomed us and arranged a room on the first floor for us so we didn't have to climb much with our weary legs. The room was lovely and spacious and the en...

I stayed with Anne and Hugh the wonderful hosts at Acorn Lodge for three nights last month. This lovely Bed and Breakfast reminded me so much of the traditional boarding houses I visited as a child with my parents. The room was spotlessly clean with high quality bed linen and a well stocked tea tray.Breakfast was delicious with good quality produce especially...

Only stayed here for two nights while we visited Lundy island. This is a lovely B&B and is well worth booking. It is right in the heart of Ilfracombe and is close to the harbour. The owners are very nice people and are very friendly. Definitely recommend it. This place even made me feel like Ilfracombe was my home!

Just spent 2 nights at this bed & breakfast and could not fault a thing. Hugh and Anne are very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Hugh is very funny and kept us entertained with his knowledge and little stories. Anne is just the perfect host. Nothing is too much trouble and her breakfast was delicious, especially the...

You can't get anymore central than this hotel. Ann and Hugh couldn't do any more for us to enjoy our stay from, clean homely rooms to a fulfilling breakfast, and even accommodated one of my fussy kids with the blackcurrant juice that he liked. A most enjoyable stay.we would definitely go there next time we are down.

Anne and Hugh lovely quirky people, accommodation and breakfast spot on. Clean tidy all you could want, no thrills or fuss. I would say parking is somewhat at a premium In Ifracombe as whole and check this beforehand.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for five days. The owners Hugh and Anne provide excellence in customer service and are 'master's' at looking after people. The rooms were cosy and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the location is spot on. A very enjoyable time at this super hotel. The Batten Family.

Pleasant little stay. Everywhere was kept clean and tidy, sheets and towels spotless. Ideal little b&b for anyone who wants a fairly low key get away. Parking wasn't available right outside so bear in mind you'll have to park up and walk to the b&b. Abit of a struggle if you've got a suitcase!! But I found that probably the...
