Situated on the level seafront of this hugely popular Victorian seaside resort stands the welcoming Dilkhusa Grand Hotel. The hotel was originally a private house, bought by a Raj at the turn of the last century as a gift to his wife - Dilkhusa translates from Hindustani roughly as ‘House of the Happy Heart!’ The hotel overlooks the picturesque Runnymede gardens and is close to the Landmark theatre which attracts many national acts. It is also just a short walk from the bustling 10th-century harbour where Britain’s most famous living artist, Damien Hirst, owns a restaurant. The Dilkhusa has a well-appointed restaurant combining excellent hospitality and service. A spacious and comfortable entertainments suite provides the ideal setting in which to sit back and enjoy the acts at this friendly and sociable hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. The Hotel does state that we aren't suitable for people with limited mobility due to the hotel having many split levels however we do accommodate guests with mobility needs as they liaise with the help desk to select a room suitable for their needs, so would assume it was the help desk who contacted you to discuss your requirements. On this occasion I am sorry if the hotel couldn't accommodate your requests. I am pleased to read that you found the buffet breakfast very good and enjoyed the food along with the very good entertainment. Thank you once again.

We upgraded our rooms to sea view. The rooms (123 and 125) were very spacious, but sparsely furnished with a single wardrobe and the carpets were stained. Because of the original single-glazed windows the rooms were cold. The radiator in 123 wasn't really in the bedroom -
