We had a lovely meal tonight in the Britannia down the harbour .First time we have been here since the new owners have taken over and we will certainly be back again . We had chicken tikka masala ( the mild version) and it was superb!freshly prepared and ample portions. We also had the roast beef which was so tender...

We stayed for a weekend away from it all- our room was located looking over the harbour with a four poster bed - the room was pretty large and the bed was very comfortable - shower room was nice and clean. The evening meal set menu was pretty basic as was the taste of the food . Cooked breakfast was...

I got a great winter deal for dinner, bed and breakfast with a glass of wine. It is an old hotel and inn, with royal connections through Edward VII, and a history of Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton. It is in the process of being refurbished, so there is scaffolding outside, but of course it does have to be done...

Called in over christmas period a couple of times for food, all was good from service through to food . Did not stay so cannot comment on accommodation but the pub had a dog friendly bar area as well as an adjacent seating area with no dogs allowed. Overall, good pub grub with decent beer.

We stayed here the day before new year. Staff were great, the location is fab, rooms lovely and clean too. We had a family room with a dog and the room was massive and warm. Staff couldn't do enough for us! Thanks

Nothing much to look at from the outside. But like many older places it is fabulous inside. We had the best view of all, looking straight into the harbour from the well appointed bay window. The room is beautifully decorated. The bath...ahhhhh! The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Thank you. We will be back......

I stayed for a weekend at this hotel. We had a basic family room which was very tired, the floors creaked, which means everyone was woken up at night when someone used the bathroom. The place was very run down, and you could smell the attached Asian Restaurant. When we booked we checked that they accepted dogs, which their website...

The hotel is perfectly positioned in ilfracombe harbour and a very good central point from which to explore ilfracombe. The room we stayed in was tiny and in my opinion very dated. The hotel could do with an update to make it more spacious and welcoming. Food and drink were good and the staff were friendly helpful and accomodating. Ask...

An overnight stay before catching the morning boat to Lundy Island so location was the deciding factor. No car park but parking in the quayside car park was convenient. We had booked a standard room which gave us a bit of extra room. The bed was comfortable and given the price it was good value for money.
