We arrived to a weedy car park and front of house and then met a member of staff behind reception who didn't acknowledge us until we spoke to him. Another guest arrived behind us and the staff member addressed him and asked if he would like to check in, to which the guest replied that the staff member should deal...

Stayed here with my family for the weekend in July. Had read the trip advisor reviews and really I can just confirm them. We stayed in a family room at the top of the house. Great views but not without some problems. For example the curtains were dirty and not blackout so we moved the cot to the hall way...

Thank you very much for your constructive review. Having taken over just short of three weeks we have met many challenges with this hotel and we are putting love back into the building as you may have experienced, we have so far changed the beds, painted throughout, new televisions are about to be installed. We recently opened the Spey bistro...

I recently stated at this lovely Scottish establishment. The rooms were freshly renovated and very spacious. The customer service was truly remarkable and the management and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back in the near future.

Have stayed before at The Scot House Hotel, it's a cheap place to lay your head for the night. Rooms were clean and staff friendly, breakfast was good, all acceptable for the rate we paid. Was good to meet the new owner Mark who has lots of experience and already owns the Columba House Hotel rated #1 in Kingussie so...

Run by an exceptionally friendly and helpful guy. Everything inside the hotel is in good order. My room was large and quiet with a good quality bed. It was also very good value, The breakfast was fine.

We booked this last minute without checking tripadvisor - and then were terrified by the reviews. The guy that worked the front desk was really nice and helpful, and overall the room was fine but the hotel was in need of an update/rethink. Breakfast was sadly not great for £8. The shower varied massively in water pressure and the promised...

Be careful when reading all poor reviews!! On arrival in does look 'closed' as there was only 1 car in carpark which was guy running it. Got to run, room was cold but he fixed that with no hassle and was very helpful. Room was bit dated but for age of the house come on what to you expect. Unfortunately...

When we arrived in kingussie we drove past the hotel and it looked closed. We parked in the car park and made out way to reception for the door to be locked . The man who presumably owns the place opened the door to us but never actually introduced himself to us. We were given a key and directions to...
