I think we were checked in by one of the owners but we only saw staff thereafter. Only one person appeared to be on duty at any one time but there must have been someone else in the kitchen as the service and food were both good. Lonely but no complaints! Stayed for two nights.

Tucked away on a small private road, this delightful little hotel is well worth hunting out. We were in a courtyard room and had to walk our room from the main hotel however we were able to park our car outside our room. The room itself was in need of a little tender loving care and wasn't without faults but...

I must state, we did not stay here but tried to book 2 nights in June 2017. We booked from tripadvisor using booking.com. The site we used to book specifically said "cancellation at any time." It stated a 40 pound fee could be charged against our VISA at any time before arrival. We would not have booked non refundable as...

Dear mark & Kathie Bauer. Thank you for the comments. We take all comments made on here very serious. Your's especially now as you claim we advertise fraudulent information, such a false claim made against us is not taken lightly. I have sent a private email explaining the cancellation policy as well, without any response from you. As per booking.com:...

A lovely old fashioned and quaint hotel, set in a quiet peaceful location. We upgraded to a four poster room which was comfy, clean and warm. The food and service were excellent and we would definitely return again.

The hotel sits back from the main road through town so is nice and quiet. The room we had was big with a king size bed and a nice view over the gardens. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive and friendly.

We booked here because it was dog friendly and we were travelling with our dog for my birthday. Worth bearing in mind that the main hotel is off limits to dogs and only the rooms round at the courtyard are the designated dog friendly rooms. For each dog you pay an extra £10/night which brought our overall cost to just...

Columba House Hotel in located in the centre of Kingussie, just off the main High Street. A really friendly welcome greeted me and I was shown to the Ruthven room which has a bath - a real bonus when you've just come down off the mountains. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. There was a lovely...

Thank you Ruth Patterson for the comments. We always strive to satisfy our guests. I can only apologise for not meeting your needs. On this occasion I can only wonder why you did not mention any of these issues to us? We were not fully booked, I could have easily offered you a different room had you mentioned this to...

Yolanda went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We telephoned and booked at the last minute. We visited between Christmas and New Year. My husband celebrated his 50th birthday. The room was outstanding. It was luxurious and I felt guilty taking our dog into the room as well, but Yolanda insisted that the geriatric dog was as...
