At very short notice, having lost our booking elsewhere, the manager (Matt) and assistant manager (Jamie) went out of their way to bring into use two double rooms so that we could be accommodated for the night. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the facilities more than adequate. We all (4 of us) enjoyed relaxing in the clean and spacious lounge bar. We also enjoyed the very good breakfast which, because of the Covid rules, was served to us at our table. All in all, we were made feel very welcome we would certainly book in here again when we next visit the beautiful island.

Our stay at the Wight Bay Hotel was quite disappointing. Starting from the rooms: we booked two rooms for three people and they gave us a double room and a room with 4 beds. The biggest room had a horrible smell, the bathroom door was not locking properly, the hot water in the shower was barely warm, the hairdryer was not working and even if we hanged out the sing “please clean my room” in the morning, the service was never received. The double room was better but still with some issues: squeaky floor, toilet not flushing properly and bathroom window broken. The hotel was clearly under staffed… breakfast service was awful. We were not able to sit at the same table, the table itself and the cutlery were dirty. It took around 40 minutes to be able to place an order and we received our drinks after we finished the food! We payed over £400 to have a nice and relax holiday and this is the service we received. I highly recommend anywhere else rather than this hotel.

We booked a wheelchair accessible room and i called several times and emailed to confirm accessibility and guess what, we make it after a long journey and on bank holiday when all hotels were booked to find out it is not accessible. The door was less than 45cm wide. They ruined our holiday and now we are calling and begging for hotel rooms. Dont recommend ever!!!!

I think, for the price, this hotel is suitable short stay material. Yes its dated but it's also not expensive. Its basic but it's not dirty. The TVs small but watchable. Really try and get a sea view, it's amazing. The breakfast is small but adequate. Didnt see much of the staff, but is that really a bad thing? Probably not for families, but for couples it does the trick

Wonderful hotel, very reasonably priced rooms, parking spaces right outside the steps leading up to the hotel. I had a single room, compact but perfect and bigger than what I would expect for the price paid. Friendly welcoming staff at reception and the breakfast service. Comfortable bed, spotless everywhere, great ensuite, fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Location is a few minutes away from the sea. Breakfast was freshly made for each table. Bar onsite with a great selection of gins, spirits and local beers etc. Lots of Covid 19 safe features and hand sanitizers at key points throughout the hotel. Highly recommend for a trip to Sandown/Isle of Wight.
