We were on a coach tour of 4 nights. Stayed in room 404 which had a lovely sea view. There were about 70 stairs to reach the room but there was a lift. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast and evening meals were very good and the dining room staff were excellent despite being under pressure. Entertainment was the...

Yes the hotel is dated , location is brilliant , good value for money ! but BEWARE OF THE ROOMS ON 4th Floor , they are tiny with tiny windows so it actually doesn't matter if you get a sea view room. Breakfast choices are limited but its a quality food.

Our first visit to the Isle of Wight, it won't be the last . The Trouvilles location couldn't be better in Sandown on the seafront . We got used to sleeping to the soothing sound of the waves lapping on the beach. Cannot find any fault with hotel, food or professionalism and friendliness of staff. Well done.

Although this hotel is a little dated, it more than makes up for it with the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The hotel is reasonably priced for a beach front hotel. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is fine. Normally all of the above would qualify it for 4 out of 5, but the people make the difference, they really do...

Second time we have visited here and it is good value for the price. Location is excellent...just across the road from the sandy beach. Food is OK... some menu repetition on consecutive nights (eg Limited availability of desert means it was on last night !) It is a hotel that clearly continue to make improvements.

Stayed here with a coach group from Monday to Friday. Our room 106 had a panoramic view of the bay although it was near the lift so this could be heard from time to time at night. There was a great choice at the buffet breakfast-the porridge was great! I would recommend getting down to breakfast early however as the...

We stayed here during a coaching holiday on the Isle of Wight. I was very impressed right from the start, checking in was so easy. Instead of queuing up at reception, we were all sent to the lounge and were given tea or coffee and the reception staff came to us with the forms. Then we could go and collect...
