Took advantage of the dinner bed and breakfast offer which we have used several times over the years and been happy enough to return. Alas this years experience was less than previously. We arrived at about 1.45 and announced ourselves at reception only to be told that check in was 3pm so obviously out of the entire hotel, there was not one single room that had been serviced but on the dot of three they would be all miraculously available……hmmm. No offer was made to look after our bags in the meantime and we were obliged to return them to the car. The receptionist was not welcoming and certainly did not go out of her way to impress us. We went into town and returned later and went to our room which was the usual Premier Inn model, clean and comfortable and the only issue was an empty liquid soap dispenser in the bathroom. Having eaten here previously we found the food was good but this time we were disappointed. The starter, fish cake, was large but dry with no sauce or dip, the main, salmon was over cooked and the pasta my wife had was drowned in sauce and not particularly tasty. Also we were given a voucher for a free g&t but neither of us drink gin and it was not interchangeable with anything else so we went without. All in all, the standards have slipped since last we stayed and we will in all likelihood not return. Shame.…

Always stay in this lovely hotel whenever in Isle of Man which is quite regularly. Always faultless, very comfortable, great location staff always friendly helpful and welcoming. The restaurant is the best in Ramsey, having dined in most in Ramsey and all over the island I would not dine elsewhere the standard of cuisine I’d superb. Met chef Barbara and cannot commend her highly enough great food and do very kind to my mother, this hotel is simply the best.

Went for Sunday dinner. It was not busy yet the wait was SO long for our meal, no starters, yet no one told us that there would be such a long wait, surely this can't be normal? It was nice food but not what I would call piping hot either which seemed wrong, but we didn't say anything for fear of another long wait. After our main meals were cleared, and despite staff being there, no one came to offer a desert menu, I eventually had to ask for one, also at no time were more drinks or tea or coffee offered. We ordered deserts but then waited over half an hour!! What an earth happens I have no idea but we kept asking to be told they are nearly done.....but they weren't. Another table were the same and we all nearly gave up! Desert was nice but when we went to pay they said no cash and we had each put in cash to share the bill. Where did it say this in advance? No where obvious if at all! So disappointing for the only real hotel in Ramsey.…

A well managed, efficient and friendly hotel with great staff. Situated in the north of the island, there isn’t too much competition, nevertheless the standards were consistently high. The views are either of the sea or the mountains, I chose the mountains, which also overlooked the park lake.

It's a very corporate modern hotel along Premier Inn lines. Rooms are functional but showing their age. Breakfast is unpredictable - on our first morning we were seated in the restaurant and offered a choice of cooked to order breakfasts, after that, because there was a coach party in, we had to sit in the large function room and put up with 60 or more people seated at 6 large tables shouting at each other. Breakfast service was then a buffet which was not monitored adequately so items ran out. The place gives an impression of there being nobody in charge - breakfast was supposed to start at 8am on Sundays but it was 8.15 before they opened up, we had lunch one day and were asked if we wanted a dessert, were given a menu then ignored so we didn't bother!

Stayed at The Ramsey Park Hotel with coach tour when storm Babet came, ferry got cancelled had to stay extra nigh. The staff were great, a buffet lunch was laid on at midday and an Italian spread in the evening. A big thanks to all.

Don’t let the 3-star put you off. The staff are young, enthusiastic and willing to help in any way they can. The breakfast is absolutely superb. If you eat in the evening, definitely go for the queenies; locally caught and served to perfection.

We stayed here as part of a coach tour during the storm , I have read some negative reviews about the hotel but I can honestly say that this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in when on coach tours. All the stall were very friendly and helpful and nothing seem to bother them. The food was good with a good buffet breakfast and a choice each day for the evening meal. We had to stay an extra day because of the ferry cancellation and they were able to accommodate us with no problems. The only criticism I have is the fact that our room safe was in the very bottom of the ‘wardrobe’ which did 80 year old knees no good at all ! It would be better fixed at eye level!
