A second visit to Carhonnag, and once again a warm welcome from Andrew and Nicky. With a winter storm blowing outside, the room was warm and well-provisioned -hot drinks, biscuits, fruit- while everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was the sort that sets you up for the day, i.e. substantial, though lighter options are available! The location provides a good base...

Thank you for your kind review and helpful tips for future travelers. I spent yesterday tidying up in the garden after that bit of wind, picking up palm leaves and twigs. Hope to see you again. Nicky

This is the second time we have stayed here and it is everything I remember. It is a gorgeous place 5 minutes from Ramsey. The rooms are excellent, breakfasts lovely and plentiful. I cannot rate this place too highly and will be back again I am sure.

Thank you for the lovely review, you are very kind to take the time to post this review and I hope that the sailing back wasn't too "bumpy".

This beautiful B&B rises in a quiet and a bit isolated location, but just only a few minutes drive from the center of Ramsey. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, offering relaxing views over the countryside and all the accessories typical of the British hospitality (set for tea, hair dryers, etc.). Andrew and Nicky are two helpful and friendly...

A wonderful home and garden with amazing views of lovely countryside and very friendly and helpful hosts. We could not have wished for more! Nice sized room, very clean with all amenities. Bath and fabulous spa/shower/sauna cubicle. We did not want to leave! Full English breakfast and continental all included.

We were there for only one night but were mightily impressed. Excellent breakfast, accommodation and hospitality. Undoubtedly the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The only minor suggestion would be to have one of those convex road mirrors opposite the entrance for a safer exit when driving.

Thank you for your comments and I'm pleased to say that the Highway board has cut the hedge since you were here and the visibility is MUCH improved. Kind regards, Nicky.

I was visiting the Isle of Man to take part in the marathon and needed somewhere to stay in the locality of Ramsey town. Carhonnag B&B is one of the best stays I've had anyway in the British Isles as far as B&Bs are concerned. The owners of the property are so very welcoming and provided a magnificent room, breakfast...

Carhonnag b&b is probably the best and most comfortable b&b I have stayed at. Andrew and Nicky gave a warm welcome on arrival. The room was extremely well appointed with every convenience. A large comfortable sette in front of the bed for watching tv. I have never had such a wide choice of tea/coffee making families to choose from and...

Probably the best b&b I have ever stayed in - very comfortable, very peaceful, amazing views and a delicious, made with loving care, breakfast. Very hospitable and kind hosts who rescued me from downtown Ramsey when I couldn't get a cab back and provided a packed breakfast that saw me through the day when I left on an early ferry.

We stayed for one night in October. Its a very quiet time of year and we were the only guests. The room was spacious and although an extra bed was put in to accommodate our 9 year old, we were far from cramped. The bathroom was very impressive and came with a spa shower (use with caution; a scalding cloud...

Thank you for your kind review and I'm sorry I wasn't there too, but I know Andrew can rustle up a pretty mean breakfast in my absence. I hope you found what you were looking for and if you want any advice on anything Manx, please don't hesitate in asking. Best regards Nicky

“My only downside was that the bathroom to the twin room upstairs had only a hand-held shower nozzle in the bath which made trying to shower a very difficult and awkward job. But that did not detract from my overall enjoyment and would certainly consider a return visit if ever we return to the IoM.”
