On the plus side - friendly welcome (we only saw one young lady all weekend, and she was friendly and pleasant). Breakfast is functional; it's 'continental' but without any 'continental' touches, like decent coffee and croissants. It's cereal and toast. Internet is free and it works. On the down side - damp! Wallpaper and ceiling paper peeling. Odd décor (display... More

As they say, you get what you pay for. This small Guest House is fairly central and easily found. Reception is welcoming, but some parts of the building are less attractive. It does need a lot of small, and some large, routine maintenance jobs done. But then, unless the IOM can attract more people for longer periods, this establishment and many... More

So this place is dated and could use and good deep clean, but it's cheap and the staff are very nice, so you really are getting what you pay for. Pluses, friendly staff, good location, cheap. breakfast included in price, fast internet. Negatives, dated, signs of damp and other building damage, very cheap mattress. The continental breakfast is free, its... More

It wasn't expensive but then there was not much to offer: one tiny bar of soap, a shower tray that drained very slowly (scary - was it going to overflow?), very basic self-service breakfast and CCTV cameras in the breakfast area and elsewhere (why? - I only had one packet of cereal!). If you can't find anywhere else then you'll... More

Arrived new years eve and hotel was freezing. Given a heater which broke. Told breakfast was at 10-11am in morning. This changed over night to NO cooked breakfast on new years day, with nowhere open. Asked could we pay, and even offered to cook this myself, was told continental breakfast which consisted of toast, cereal and baby bell cheese ?????... More

Not long just got home from our trip to the Isle of Man, what a lovely hotel to stay at. The staff are very helpful, Beth greated us at the door and Jeff also offered to take our bags up stairs for us. As for the nights sleep it was bliss we had new bedding and towels which felt really... More

Not well maintained, no heat, room not where requested. We left after paying for the first nite, and were turned into Booking .com as a NoShow. Unless you like walking up steep hils and narrow stairs, sleeping in 55F, temperatures, in your clothes, probably should'nt stay here.

I appreciate the friendly welcoming staff and breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The problem is the building. It's just weird because the bathroom is not in the room. It's down the hall, except it has no sink, that's back in your room. A bit unhygenic. It was fun discovering some other quirks with the building too. Bed was no... More
