Very impressed with all we saw. The hotel was spotlessly clean with very friendly staff. We arrived late but a meal was served to us and we had a good night in a very comfortable bed. We did not have a room overlooking the sea, but how much time do you spend in the room? It was a very special...

I was dispatched to this hotel by British Airways after they cancelled a flight and on arrival at about 9pm the front desk was un-manned but someone come after a bell was rung. Very formal, no smiles and no welcome and I wasn't even told how to get to my room. No information about the hotel was given and so...

Nice hotel, lovely first impression. Our room was quite big but the outlook was awful, onto a service area for, what looked like, the boiler system I had booked this break for my husbands birthday, I informed the hotel of this and asked if we could have a sea view room. If reception had informed me when booking in that...

Hotel was great very clean, restaurant has a good food offering as did the bar, drinks were expensive but the measures made up for it. Lift was an experience in that it was old but got you there even if it was hidden away behind a door :-)

Good location on Douglas sea front. Uninviting reception staff. Room cramped but clean and functional. Breakfast buffet spoilt by modest quality food which had been stood a long time. The hotel does nothing to change the impression that the Isle of Man has little to entice the traveller to its shores

The Location was excellent! Right on the promenade and near to bus stops. Lovely staff in the reception, bar and restaurant. Clean room and bathroom with a good shower. Also there was a discount for a "single" room. Breakfast was great and the bar was well stocked. Would definitely recommend it to others! Only negative was the hairdryer which softly...

My husband and i were invited to attend a civil wedding reception here, we both agreed that it felt like a big conveyor belt, the service was good but had no emotion or feeling, it was like this was the hundreth wedding we have done this year, just a few more and then we are done. The wedding breakfast buffet...

This should be a minimum 4 star rating, pushing a 5 - and there's one main reason why it only got a three - meet Lurch! A surlier character would be hard to find? - and worse still, he seemed to be on every shift? He was on the bar when we came in late (just after 11pm) and seemed...

The hotel is very pleasant - all the usual amenities. Would definitely recommend it. The best part was waking up in the morning and looking at view from my room the it was fantastic! This hotel is on the seafront and closed to the centre of Douglas (but then on this island everything is).
