Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious but the wall paper was a bit damaged in places. Excellent sea view. The plumbing was a bit of a mystery. I did expect a fridge and a safe, a fridge was supplied on request.
The Royal provides a haven of tranquillity and the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The staff are all discreetly efficient whilst being friendly and approachable and clearly are very happy to be working at the Royal. We appreciated the request, which was honoured by all guests, not to bring mobile phones into the dining room. Afternoon tea, with multiple choices including a savoury option, was a sheer delight, especially as the weather was good and we were able to enjoy it in the beautiful and well maintained gardens. Well done The Royal, our expectations were exceeded and we hope to return.
Just as good 2nd time around. Just spent a fab 3 nights at the Royal. The food was incredible, they cater for everyone regardless what your intolerance of allergy may be, they even provided my wife with a menu of her own. The service is great, staff are very friendly and extremely well trained. Hotel location is great and the grounds are very well kept. Would highly recommend this hotel. location. Would recommend this hotel.
Great location, courteous and professional staff, wonderful and beautiful property. Food not at same level and some dishes very small portions. Overall a perfection/ideal venue for a function. Happy memories.
The Royal Hotel had a very relaxed taste of luxury, The staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. The bedrooms were very comfortable. From the garden areas and the formal areas. everywhere was very clean, tastefully planned and decorated. The food was delicious, it was lovely to see local produce being used.
