Relaxing and laid back environment. Quaint and spacious lounge. Single rooms have an awkwardness for unlocking doors (lock too near door surround) i.e. need both hands to open. Nice grounds and friendly staff. Good for a central point to go on daily excursions.

We stayed here as a group on a golf weekend. Our room was clean and a good size though our friends had a musty smell which eventually turned out to be a leaky radiator which had clearly been leaking for a while.Tea and coffee and cakes biscuits and fruit available all day and evening. Breakfast good but a bit basic....

From start to finish the staff were friendly , helpful and good at what they do. The accommodation and the hotel itself were well appointed and charming. We could not fault it. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was well cooked with great service

I took part in a Skyros writing weekend at The Grange with Alison Habens. I was a little nervous as this was the first writing workshop I'd attended, but as soon as I arrived the staff were really welcoming. The location is beautiful and you can walk right down onto the beach in 5 mins. The classes with Alison were...

My sister and I stayed at The Grange in Shanklin 'Old Village' over the last couple of days on a nostalgic trip to the Isle of Wight in memory of our parents. We walked some of the IOW Coastal Path, which was stunning, to key places from our childhood. The Grange was the perfect choice to stay. It is a...

This was the second time that I traveled from New York for a weekend at The Grange. It was great again. The location, the rooms, the food, the workshop(s), the staff....... I hope to return soon again.

This was our second family visit to The Grange and we had another lovely sun-filled few days. The location is perfect especially for being able to walk to local restaurants for an evening meal. Breakfast was plentiful and in a relaxing environment. All the members of staff were friendly and professional. We look forward to visiting again.

The hotel is AA four star and lives up to its accreditation. Want to come somewhere relaxing with great service and comfort? This is it! A...

Dear surreytraveller46, Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review, that's really so generous of you. The Grange is categorised by the AA as four-star guest accommodation, i.e. a guesthouse rather than a hotel, and so it's lovely to hear that you rated the experience so highly. If the house were classed as a hotel, one...

This was the hotel for our honeymoon, we were impressed when we first entered our room, as it looked well presented, if a little dated. Unfortunately there were not too many more good points. Tiles on the bathroom floor were loose and wobbly, the shower door did not shut fully, the bed was hard and just two singles pushed together,...

A couple of weeks ago, I booked in for a weekend's course of Mindfulness taking with me a friend who has been very ill and much in need of some R and R. The two rooms we had were fabulous: my friend's had a great view over the trees to the sea. Both rooms were totally clean and the beds...

Dear Victoria0459, Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review, that's very kind of you. We really enjoyed having you both stay with us. It was a lovely weekend with an inspiring course.
