Didn’t actually stay here on this visit but called in for a drink and snack. Super staff who went out of their way to make us a sandwich as the kitchen had closed for snacks and it was lovely. Thanks to Gina and colleagues, our dog enjoyed a dog ice cream too Great views across the English Channel from the patio and a lovely relaxed atmosphere

A very laid back hotel in a fantastic location, it was perfect for our mini-break to the Island. Very clean, comfortable room, friendly staff, great bar with stunning sea-views on the veranda & lovely breakfast....what more could you ask for? For anyone who is Coeliac - I could not have been more impressed with their breakfast options & cross-contamination awareness. Well done Harrow Lodge - you put a lot of other, bigger hotels & well known chains to shame!

We have been staying at the Harrow Lodge since 1991 and go back every year with our children now almost adults! Gina, Rob, Steph and all the staff including Sharon and Debbie are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the food is home cooked and fresh, they will also cater for your requirements or intolerances, great breakfast to set you up for the day, varied menu to cater for all the family too. We usually always have a seaview room and it is so quiet, clean, relaxing and perfect place to sit on the balcony with a glass of fizz or a coffee in the morning watching the sunrise. Great location, Shanklin is a little gem of a place, like Old England. We would not want to stay anywhere else, our children have grown up visiting the Harrow Lodge and to be honest we are treated like one of the family. It is a family run business, not a big clinical, corporate place with no personality, it is charming and welcoming and long may we be able to visit. Highly recommended!

Dear Gina and Rob, thank you for a lovely stay last week and also to your lovely assistants Sharon and Alex who served me breakfast every morning who could not do enough to help. By the way, the breakfasts were wonderful (i don’t eat meat, but the veg option was fab.) I have been staying here for years now, they even allowed me to bring my well behaved dogs years ago and now I come by myself or with a friend without the dogs as they have passed away. It is so clean at this hotel, I felt completely safe being a pensioner. I would always come here and the price is reasonable. Chrissie. Room 6

The first time we booked by chance and was lucky enough to get room 1. That was in2015 and we keep going back 'cos the staff are GR8. This year because of COVID they were running round like blue arse flies keeping people happy, and I never had to wait long for a beer or food. They worked really hard and we're tiring me out, lol. The hotel is clean, friendly and organized. We're booked in for 2022 and 2023 and it can't come round quick enough.

Gina and her staff are lovely. They care about their guests. Nothing is too much trouble for them. One of the ladies told me that she had worked there for 11 years and still loved it. That speaks volumes. We arrived a few minutes before they finished serving food but I was able to have a lovely roast beef dinner and my husband had the gluten-free sausages and mash. He was on crutches for our visit due to a sudden attack of arthritis but we didn't think to tell the hotel before arrival. The staff were very kind. We had breakfast served to us in the bar, instead of going downstairs. Great to have a gluten-free menu. We shall return.
