We spent a week at Foxhills, and Judith, Joanne, Robert, and Andrew made our stay so welcoming we didn’t want to leave. They couldn’t have been kinder, more helpful, friendly and attentive. The room was light, airy, and very clean, the bed was so comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing, all our needs were met with enthusiasm and consideration. Nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend Foxhills of Shanklin, and we hope to return in the future.

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room(Osborne) was spacious and very clean and the bed comfortable. Lots of choice at breakfast, everything well cooked and well presented. The local red squirrel visited us during breakfast to access nuts which were just outside the dining room window. .Foxhills is a 7 minute walk to the Old Village where there are several places to eat and the bus stop for Ryde and Ventnor. .Shanklin beach is further but walkable(we drove) and there are several eateries down there. This characterful house has a nice patio where you can relax after a day out or even have your breakfast. All in all a very happy and memorable stay.

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for the great review. We can't take credit for it on this occasion unfortunately. We've recently taken over ownership of the lovely Foxhills from Ray and Ann. We would love to meet you! We are putting all our efforts into making all our guest's stay as relaxed and as pleasurable as possible We are also going to turn 2 rooms into suites for an even better experience for our guests, and re-landscaping the grounds and garden. Regards Judith, Joanne, Rob & Andrew

We have stayed many times at Foxhills which is on a tree lined avenue near to Shanklin Old Village. It is a gorgeous, elegant property with parking and pretty gardens. This time we stayed in Osborne room and it's very spacious with a large ensuite bathroom. Comfortable bed with crisp white linen and a super squishy sofa to relax on. Breakfasts ae beautifully cooked by Ray who is a trained chef and they really are superb. Ray and Ann, the owners, have created such a warm, friendly and stylish guest house. We always want to come back! They're such special people full of help and advice. I miss them when I'm not there.

Warm welcome, spotlessly clean, conveniently located - just a short walk into town.Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Ray and Ann - they recommended great restaurants and off the beaten track places for us to visit. Can’t wait to return.

Have stayed here several times and will return later in the year. Ray and Anne are excellent hosts. Friendly, ever helpful and so attentive. Breakfast is superb with much to choose from and new ideas to try. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. We always feel at home here and would not dream of staying elsewhere.

Foxhills was spotlessly clean and comfortable, Ray and Ann were perfect hosts and the brefasts (selection and quality) really excellent. Added bonus was a couple of visits from Cyril the red squirrel during breakfast which was an absolute delight and we were also blessed with good weather throughout our 4 night stay. One small point - the shower pressure (over bath) in our room was poor but it didn't matter - we just had baths! Thank you for a lovely stay Foxhills xx

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Sorry there isn't much we can do about the water pressure on an over bath shower, which is why we advertise the room with a bath. We have 5 rooms with showers that have pumps, so please be sure to ask for one of those when you stay next time :-) We are so honoured that the red squirrels choose to visit our garden, and very glad you had the opportunity to see them! Please come and stay again soon!

Ray and Anne have got to be the best hoteliers in Shanklin. Having found the Foxhills, we would not stay in any other hotel. The hotel is absolutely spotless with the most beautiful comfortable rooms and the decor throughout the entire hotel is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for Ray and Anne who go over and above to make sure their guests have the best possible stay. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Great little b&b, lovely house with nice rooms. Hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful without being overbearing like some hosts. Spotless rooms and nice communal areas. We enjoyed sitting in the garden enjoying a bottle of wine. Breakfast was lovely.
