We stayed in the family room with our two children which is actually 2 rooms joined giving us a nice bit of separation. Spotlessly clean and very comfy bedding. Breakfast was well organised, very nice to have the option of a hot takeaway which we used each day as our kids aren’t that hungry first thing. Great location not far from the beachfront and plenty of parking available. Very welcoming and friendly hosts we would stay again if visiting Shanklin!

this b&B is in a excellent position for using as a base to explore the island the b&b is spotlessly clean and the beds provide a really comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast provided are excellent and very filling for the day ahead. Hayley and Nick were both very friendly and provided lots of advice on places to go and explore on the island. really enjoyed our stay and would stay again on next trip to the island

This was our second stay at this amazing place and hopefully won’t be our last. Everything about our stay was top class. Delicious home-cooked breakfast in the morning, with a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts and juices. We stayed in a double room to the front of the property, beautifully decorated as all the rooms, comfortable en-suite bedrooms with tea, coffee facilities with biscuits. You have the choice if you want your room made up or not. The hotel is in a great quiet location, just a short walk to the promenade, near the theatre, shops and restaurants and about a ten minute walk to the Old Shanklin. There is off road parking too for 6 cars which is a bonus. Best of all was our hosts, Hayley and Nick who were friendly, accommodating and really helpful with sightseeing advice or recommendations on where to eat. The cost was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you both for another wonderful stay. 👌💕

This B&B is an excellent place to stay. The location is excellent for all of the amenities in Shanklin or for using public transport to get to the rest of the Island. It is spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable and the showers are hot and powerful and best of all the breakfasts are amazing.

A spotlessly clean B & B run by Nick and Hayley. They are a very friendly couple with nothing too much trouble to help make your stay perfect. We all thoroughly enjoyed the excellent breakfasts and you can have whatever you like in any way that you choose. All in all, a great holiday and a great place to stay. We will all be going again.

What a wonderful experience Hayley and Nick gave me of my mini break to the IOW. They were so helpful with my original booking and was able to book the ferry for me at a discount. They answered all my questions about the island and what there was to do there. My room was very comfortable and warm (in fact I slept better there than at home!). Plenty of tea and coffee etc and very peaceful facing the garden. The breakfast was wow! SO much and so delicious. It really set me up for the day. Within easy reach of the beach and restaurants and a good base for getting around the island by car. I had no problem parking as they have 6 parking spaces. If I came back to the IOW, I would definitely come back here and have recommend to my friends.

Thank you for the review and for liking the large room you stayed in. As soon as we were made aware of the leaking kettle we replaced it. We provide a bottle of water for you to use in case the kettle will not fit under the tap. Sorry if you felt your wife was discriminated against however we both talked to both of you throughout your stay. We welcome all guests whether they have disabilities or not - and have many returning guests as well. When you booked you was advised that your room was upstairs and all downstairs rooms were booked. Unfortunately the Victorian staircase is not wide enough to put in a second handrail - it would make it too narrow for guests carrying luggage/children etc. Sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay but we try our best to satisfy all our guests which we think is reflected in our reviews and winning 6 years in a row of certificates of excellence from TripAdvisor.

The Chestnuts is easy to find in Shanklin and it has six free off road parking spaces. We received a warm welcome and our room, overlooking the road, had a partial sea view. The bed was very comfortable and the en suite, although quite small, had all the toiletries we needed. Tea and coffee were provided as was a hair dryer. There was a very good breakfast which could be customised to suit your appetite. It was just ten minutes walk to restaurants in the Old Town and the seafront was only five minutes downhill. We booked our accommodation directly with the owners who then also booked our ferry crossings for us and as a result we received a substantial discount on the crossings which was much appreciated.
