We stayed in this hotel for the third time and received a warm welcome from Bill & Jackie. The food is home cooked and excellent. The bedrooms are spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. We have booked again for next year. Highly recommended

Hosts 10/10; cleanliness 10/10; facilities 10/10; food 11/10 ! Sleep Quality 10/10; Would we stay here again, silly question …. most definitely . (With apologies to “Four in a Bed “). The hotel is situated in a great position being just a five minute walk to Shanklin Chine and the town and even less to the Esplanade lift. Booked direct with the hotel to include the ferry crossings, totally hassle free.

We stayed as a family of 8 and had a great holiday. All of us from our 2 children to the 4 grandparents thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay. The location is great, rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely each day. Bill and Jackie are great hosts and the father in law loved chatting at the bar each evening. Our only regret was we only stayed 4 nights. It was so good we are looking at returning again next year.

Just returned from 10 days staying with Bill & Jackie at the Hambledon hotel, yet again they made our stay with them enjoyable. The Hambledon is a 5 minute walk to the sandy beach or the old village with lots of different shops. We stayed B&B, the breakfast really sets you up for the day exploring with lots of different choices from a full English to smoked haddock & lots in between also with plenty of cereal, toast, tea, coffee & fruit juices, I heard from lots of other guests that the evening meals are also amazing & cooked freshly by Jackie. In the evenings there is a well stocked bar where it’s lovely to sit & chat with other guests finding out what they have done that day & making lots of new friends. The Hambledon is a small family run hotel that is spotlessly clean & comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for next year. If anyone would like to stay here I would recommend booking early as this is a very popular hotel that gets booked up very quickly.

So after a crazy 18 months of working from home and multiple lockdowns it was so nice to eventually get away returning to our favourite hotel on the Isle of Wight for a one weeks family holiday. The Hambledon Hotel run by Bill and Jackie yet again went beyond expectations. They are the perfect hosts, running an excellent hotel, which all adds up to making one very relaxed and enjoyable holiday. We stayed half board, both the breakfast and evening meals were excellent, with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The Hambledon is situated perfectly, just 5 minutes walk down the cliff path to the beach or 5 minutes in the other direction to Shanklin Town and Old Town. Nothing is to much trouble, and the friendly atmosphere Bill and Jackie create rub off on all the guests as each night many of the guests got together in the bar for a drink and a good old chat. Excellent holiday, already booked again for next year.
