After many visits, this Hotel with its hosts Bill and Jackie is simply the most welcoming hotel you will ever find. It feels like a home from home. It's location is perfect for exploring this lovely island. Food was, as always, excellent.

Just returned from a 4 day walking break to this lovely hotel. Cannot say enough about Bill and family - they all worked so hard and have everything down to a fine art and all works like clockwork. Delightful home cooking and plenty of it. Nicely decorated rooms and comfortable bed. Thoroughly enjoyed my break from work and my fellow...

We ve just come back from a lovely long weekend in the Isle of Wight and we stayed at the Hambledon. We called the hotel direct and got a really good ferry inclusive deal from Bill. The room was lovely and had only recently been decorated. Bill and Jackie were so friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely stay there again.

A group of 22 walkers, we stayed for 4 nights. Bill, Jackie and their staff welcomed us all. Everything worked like clockwork. Meals were well organised and served unobtrusively. The rooms are well appointed. Our thanks go to the Grindley family.

We were offered tea in the lounge as soon as we walked through the front door and we soon felt very much at home. The other guests were mostly people who had stayed before and it would seem that The Hambledon Hotel suits people who enjoy good food and a friendly atmosphere. We could not fault our room or the...

Booked this hotel last minute for 4 nights half board. Room was lovely and clean, with plenty of storage. Breakfast and dinner ran like a well oiled machine every day, the food was great too. The lounge area was a big comfortable space for playing board/card games after dinner. Our 4 year old also loved getting to ring the dinner...

We booked for a family holiday, and wanted a Hotel, near the sea and town, and saw the reviews for the Hambledon. You couldn't ask for more. Clean, newly appointed rooms, (we were the first couple in our just decorated one), and a traditional, but nice appearance to the hall, lounge etc. Serving breakfast and evening meals, and they offer...

We've just enjoyed another wonderful weekend at our favourite getaway 'Hambledon Hotel', Shanklin. Bill and Jackie always extend a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are very well appointed. The breakfast is a highlight of our stay. Thank you once again Bill and Jackie, we can't wait to return! Clare & Campbell

After a summer of bad health, needed a bit of Island time. From the minute we arrived Jackie and Bill made us feel so very welcome. As always the rooms are clean and very comfy. Jackie's meals are very tasty and we always leave the dining room well and truly satisfied. We shall be back next year.

Thank Mum M
