The location of this hotel is perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and light. This is the best hotel we have stayed in on the island. Shanklin is a beautiful village and this hotel is perfectly situated.
Went to this hotel for 2 nights in early August. As a returning customer, I knew all about the hotel, but was very impressed with their Covid precautions. Also, delighted to receive a bottle of Bucks Fizz and a card in our room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was wonderful to be able to swim in the outdoor pool (very hot and sunny!) Thank you to the staff of Luccombe Manor!
Amazing stay staff so friendly and go that extra mile so dog friendly infact it's the most dog friendly hotel I've been the rooms were lovely and the bed was super comfy breakfast amazing beautiful views well worth a visit
Fantastic stay. The Hotel is positioned beautifully looking out over the sea. Staff were really attentive and friendly and breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. Would definitely return for another break.
Great location. Walkable to Shanklin centre. Views over the bay from the cliff top location. Heated outdoor pool usable even in May. Friendly and helpful staff on reception and throughout hotel. Excellent breakfast.
Family and friends gathered for a very special weekend together to celebrate my 70th birthday, occupying 6 rooms at Luccombe Manor. With 11 adults and 6 children ranging in age from 9 months to 13 years in the party, it was a tall order to satisfy the requirements of everyone in the party, but Luccombe manor did it absolutely perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful, the swimming pool and jacuzzi perfect, the games room had some thing for everyone - even to the tiniest member of our party - and the food was excellent.
Lovely friendly hotel. Location stunning, on the cliff with views over the gardens and sea and just a 5 minute stroll into Shanklin! Room very spacious, plenty of storage and bed comfortable. Very welcome tea and coffee facility in the room, replenished daily by housekeeping. Beautifully clean. All staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, from the lady on reception (had maps showing the cut-through to the village), to the staff in the restaurant at breakfast and the staff at the sister hotel where we had a swim and sauna (wonderful - complementary towels and locker tokens!) Breakfast superb 😋 Absolutely fabulous break, will definitely book again when we visit the island to see family. Don’t normally get round to leaving reviews but we enjoyed our stay so much that I couldn’t not do so. Thanks for a lovely time 😀…
Great location both in terms of the view and in relation to local pubs & restaurants. It's an old building and is a bit "creaky" at times. Some guests assumed that when they were up & awake, everyone else should be (not the fault if the hotel). The bed (for me) was too soft.
We are regular annual visitors to the Island but our first time stay at the Luccombe. As we now have a dog, finding a good dog- friendly hotel was a primary consideration. We were therefore delighted by the very friendly, helpful and welcoming reception from all the staff. The hotel looks recently refurbished to a very high standard and immaculately maintained. Our room was fresh, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast offering was excellent and the evening meals superb. All in all a very enjoyable stay and wished we had booked for a full week. Good value for money we thought and all being well we shall look forward to a longer stay next time!
Absolutely beautiful hotel. We had a sea view room which was spacious with a lovely shower. The breakfast was particularly good; lovely fresh berries and beautifully cooked poached smoked haddock. Just a 10 minute walk into town and right on the beach.
