I visited here with my mum and friends to an afternoon tea event. I was very impressed. The food was outstanding, everything was fresh and plenty to choose from. There was a singer performing, who was great but the room felt too noisy and the singer too loud but I think that was the acoustics in the room rather than...

We came here for sunday lunch as my sister is getting married here next year. She hadn't booked the venue at that point as we were all going to have a look round and test out the food. We were blown away! The food was absolutely delicious!! Up there with some of the best food i've ever had. Ashfield house...

We had previously held a corporate dinner at Ashfield House and chose to go back in April with 50 employees from across our regional locations. We were not disappointed! The organisation of the event was very professional and they were flexible around us confirming numbers and menu choices. On the evening, the service had to be delayed as we'd had...

We stayed one night for a wedding. The venue was absolutely perfect, our room was immaculate, bathroom and room looked brand new. (small criticism is that the shower could be more powerful). Reception staff and Bar Staff could not fault - The bar staff worked their socks off all day and night. Food was exceptional - especially those small pies...

We wanted a small wedding with 33 guests but wanted quality not quantity. Ashfield House was the perfect place, from the photogenic historic staircase down to the cots and high chairs in the rooms accommodating children and babies who were staying the night. Every last touch didn't go unnoticed! The bridal sitting room was one of the highlights of the...

We have just been for Easter Sunday lunch, a treat from our mum. Table was booked for one thirty and at two o clock we hadn't ordered. We asked could we order and the waiter came over, we were then taken to our table. Starters were good with nice warm bread, although when I asked could I have two rolls...

We had a lovely family Sunday lunch at Ashfield House. The food was fabulous a good selection and very well cooked. The staff were very nice and helpful. We live close by so didn't use the hotel. We would go for lunch again most certainly.

Booked for Sunday lunch for 6 people. All of our meals were delicious and presented well. The meal was reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Prices starting at £16 for 2 courses and £18 for three.Would definitely go again.
