Stayed here 2 nights, was lucky enough to get room 4, in the building at the front overlooking the car park with a view of Durham cathedral as we were on the first floor. Great location only a 15 min walk down to the market square if you turn right, across the crossing and head down Claypath. Went the other...

The room was well appointed, in very good decorative order, the bed comfortable and the hotel was clean throughout. In addition, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking was available but I suspect that, if the hotel were full, it could be restricted. The major drawback – and a reason I won't return – was the pungent lavender odour in...

I like Travelodge Durham because of its location and easily accessible. The city centre is within walking distance. The hotel is nice and is value for money. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are responsible in size. Highly recommended.

We must have stayed here at least 10 times and it never falls below excellent. The beds are always so good, linen crisp and the towels plentiful. Travelodge rooms can get pretty tired, but the room we had on this visit was pristine. Durham is a great city and this hotel is perfect for a tourist stay, or like us...

Have stayed here several times before when visiting student @ uni. Conveniently located and representing great value for money. Clean and basic but absolutely everything one requires for a 2 night stay in Durham.Close to town centre with numerous bars, restaurants etc. Will certainly stay again

Hotel is in a good location as it's a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre. The hotel itself is definitely budget and has few frills. The room was relatively clean, the bedding was fresh but the bathroom smelt awful. This was due to the old shower curtain that was definitely past its sell by date. You get tea (2...

Stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and by booking in advance only paid £63 in total. Great value. Basic room, but clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. Taking account of the free parking ad the location just a fifteen minute from the city centre and there is absolutely nothing to dislike about it.

We always come to durham a couple of times a year and stay at travel lodge. Came for half term weekend and another couple came with us and we got a good price for 2 nights. We usually like to eat at sambuka but something strange going on there. We booked a table and it's apparently closed for refurbishment. It...

Stayed with a party of fiends and family. Unlike most hotels a bit surprising that they don't provide a hot breakfast. An unusual if sprawling building, we stayed in the annex. The staff were all good and the rooms what you expect from a Travelodge. Very handy for the city centre, just a short walk away.
