After visiting the hotel a few weeks ago we decided to return to dine in the conservatory restaurant. It was relatively quiet and although we had booked a table we were told we could choose any available table. After choosing our food we realised we had to visit the bar to order! Although this is not a major issue I...

Went here for a friend's birthday and the food was lovely and all home made. A great menu and lots to choose from. The place is lovely and cosy and the staff are very welcoming. The hotel is situated just off the A1 and is a great location for getting into Durham or around the north east.

I stayed here for one night on business. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The room i stayed in was fantastic, very comfortable bed, massive bathroom and very clean. The restaurant has a great menu, and the food was so good, and the guy behind the bar was great. Great location very close to the M1 between Durham...

We wanted to visit Durham and considered both in town and this hotel. In the end choosing this one we found it only a very short drive into Durham which has easy Multistory parking - we used Prince Bishop Secure. This friendly and helpful hotel proved a good base for a two nights with the quality of food good enough...

The good - Staff were very friendly, and the meals were excellent. Nice garden and snug. Good location. Very comfortable bed. Price was good The bad - the rooms are tiny, the bed was against the wall on one side. The bath was the narrowest I've ever seen - making showering near impossible. The room was ready for a makeover....

I live around the corner from Bowburn Hall so I have been quite a few times. The food is good quality but they pile mountains on your plate, so if you want good value for money then get yourself there. I have also visited the place to watch the football. The other punters are very friendly so don't be afraid...

Strange location tucked away on the back end of a housing estate. My room was tiny for the money paid, all the essentials but no room to swing a rodent. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom a bit dated but clean enough. Restaurant felt a bit like eating in a hallway, though the attached conservatory part is a bit more...

We attended a wedding at Bowburn Hall and stayed overnight. The wedding event from arriving, the ceremony in the garden, reception and evening was fantastic and we really enjoyed it. Re our stay - we had a double room with 2 additional beds for the grandchildren - the rooms were quite cramped in this set up but we were warned...
