Check in was straight forward nice friendly young lady to see to things, room itself was very nice, lots of storage space, large clean bathroom with plenty of toiletries if you use that sort of thing , bed lovely crisp linen and...

This is our second stay on the way to Aberdeen, the food is great and the staff are so friendly at anytime. This fabulous hotel is not far off the A1 so doesn't add much travel time. If you have time too stay from what we have been told by the friendly locals it's a great place to stay for...

Stayed here for two nights and the room itself was very pleasant. Rooms refurbished and the bathroom as well. The only problem is that the plumbing was non existent. No water pressure so standing in the beautiful shower you weren't sure whether you were wet or not. Such a shame. Breakfast very very average as well. Would not stay again.

Stayed here for a night and was pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size with plenty of double sockets around the room and by the bed on both sides. In these days of gadgets spare plugs are a luxury! The en suite was a good size and the breakfast superb. All the food is sourced locally as well. I...

Stayed here for two nights recently. Can't fault it too much! Check in was stress free and easy. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Bathroom was beautiful! The walls are a little thin though and I could hear next doors TV as well as conversations too. Can't really grumble though because I had a lovely sleep!

Stayed for one night, room cosy and comfortable and good sized bathroom. Didn't stay for breakfast but would next time as the menu looked good. Bit of early noise as guess it is popular with business people but this was not a problem.Wish we had found it sooner as very handy for Durham and would have liked to book in...

Booked a Sunday night away to enjoy a late lunch and some drinks with my husband for his birthday. The hotel is lovely, pretty grounds, not pretentious but not too casual either. After an afternoon out and about we had a well cook d and reasonably priced meal in at the hotel in the evening and were looking forward to...

Stayed here for 1 night (Sat). Nobody on reception when we arrived so had to wait for somebody to come so we could check in. Room on 2nd floor, no lift so 2 flights of stairs which wasn't really a problem. Room very small but clean. Bathroom tiny but spotless. Shower was just a trickle so don't expect a power...

Thank you for your review and I am glad you found the staff very pleasant. I am sorry to hear about the problems you had. We have just had the bathrooms refurbished so I will be speaking to the plumber about the shower pressure issues and get these rectified. I hope that you will return and have a more enjoyable...

This place is fantastic for great food and service, they always have specials which put the already great menu to s poor comparison and if you eat at the right time you get vouchers always good on the wallet

Lush food, massive portions, tasty, would 100% recommend !! Cosey sitting area and great customer service :) I would 100% recommend ribeye steak cooked medium rare with Diane sauce with homemade chips!! This restaurant is a good place for big eaters, couldn't eat it all!!
