I stayed here for a dinner, bed and breakfast with two rounds of golf in October. £149 per head through yourgolftravel was a bargain we thought the golf was OK but our booked tee time was amended and we ended up behind a huge competition and a 4.5 hour round on first day. Cathedral Course is far superior of the two with some great holes. prince Bishop’s course could have been any bog standard course built In last 30 years. Room was really good with comfy beds and powerful shower - couldn’t really fault it it apart from lack of robes to use the spa. Spa access was limited to a booked slot but the complex was very good apart from only one tiny, and not quite hot enough, jacuzzi. Our inclusive dinner included a meal at the carvery which we ate at 8pm. Not sure if we were just late, but it was one of the worst roast dinners I’ve ever had - over done, potatoes inedible, really poor. The desserts were just pre made rubbish you can buy in Tesco. Other options were available but basically had to pay full price apart from a £10 Food in the on site golf clubhouse was a lot better (we had lunch there twice). Breakfast was half decent too Place was ok, not quite lived up to expectations, but still decent value for the price

My daughter purchased a afternoon tea for 2 people for my birthday (June) I booked up last week for today. I took my husband ,as he had never been here before, myself I have had afternoon tea twice before. We arrived and informed about our booking at reception, the nice lady told us to take a seat which was later out for two. We sat down and a nice girl come over to welcome us. We asked for 1 pot of tea and 1 pot of coffee. Next she served us our cake stand. 4 - sandwiches each 2 different types of scones each and 4 different types of cakes each. All the food was fresh. We also had another pot if tea and coffee. The day was perfect. We will look forward to going again. Thank you to the waitress. She was very polite and asking if everything was OK.

The venue and the staff provided an incredible day for our wedding day. The staff were attentive and proactive, providing an excellent customer service. The venue itself is excellent. The rooms, the ballroom and the grounds and a brilliant setting! The celebration suite and its enormous bath tub and TV that’s even bigger was phenomenal. The Spa is heaven and all in all I look forward to returning year on year to re-live our big day! Fantastic hotel!

Fantastic stay in a beautiful hotel!! First time at the hotel and everything was immaculate and well presented. Staff were caring and attentive to any of my needs. Friendly service at the bar. Room was fantastic and all the facilities were well presented and clean. The bathroom was gleaming and hygienically clean. The bed was so soft and duvet crisp and clean. After such a good stay I shall be visiting again very soon as I thoroughly loved my stay!!!
