Finished the week off with a hotel rather than a B&B , and I have to say that it was a very enjoyable stay. We got the attention and service you would expect without it being overbearing or made to feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately the AC unit in our room wasn't working, and as we were overlooking the high street the...

Great position in centre of town, but difficult to find by car due to one way system. Hotel is very comfortable & relaxing. The staff are friendly & helpful. Unfortunately most eating places are closed in Barnstaple on Sunday's even in August.

Lovely hotel with modern facilities in an older and comfortable setting, well maintained. It's obvious that this is a family run business with a very hands on and caring approach! Lovely polite, very helpful and cheerful staff. Perfect location, the town is just outside the front door. 10 minute walk to the train station. Great food too at a reasonable...

This the second time we have stayed in this hotel with in the last 7 months. We live in Spain and originally come from Barnstaple and as a treat we like to stay in Barnstaple for a few days. The first time we had what we would call the best room right on the front which was what we requested, this month...

We are happy that you find our hotel lovely and look forward to seeing you again in the near future. We have several rooms that look out over Barnstaple High Street, our reception team would be happy to help you find one of them next time you make a reservation.

Used this hotel as our base to explore north Devon as its within 20 mins of Woolacombe, ilfracombe, Croyde Bay and Clovelly. Super room and really nice hotel, with bar and lovely breakfast...however Barnstaple town left us somewhat underwhelmed. A high street like any other and little to see. Regards Dean

An older hotel comprised of several buildings joined together (so expect some stairs even if you use the lift!). Modernised nicely and generally very good standards all round with friendly helpful staff. Couple of niggles though, my room had two old sash windows, neither of which could be locked. The bathroom window faced a fire escape staircase that could be...

Parking in the centre of Barnataple is very difficult and although this hotel has a small car park, it fills quickly. If you enter the car park and find it is full, it's incredibly difficult to get back out of. The hotel itself is very nice, the facilities are modern, the rooms a good size, the staff are attentive and...

Lovely hotel, couldn't fault the rooms, very clean, large and spacious. Our room was at the front which did mean it was a little noisey on Saturday night as quite a few late night revellers were out partying to the early hours. Toiletries are described as luxury, I would disagree but only a minor point as I tend to use...

Stayed 3 nights. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was ample, dinner in hotel dining room was excellent (linen tablecloth and napkins, just as it should be!), so there was no need to go out and search for a good restaurant. Rooms are large and clean, but bathroom a little dated. Hotel situated in excellent position. The only noise came...

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is lovely and the staff are polite and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spacious although the bathroom was on the small side. The room was very clean and we'll equipped with lots of services available from reception if needed. The breakfast was nice with generous portions however...
