Well we have just come back from bulworthy forest and overall it was a pleasant experience. When my husband told me he had booked this lodge I thought sounds nice etc.... Totally different kind of holiday break for us but we were visiting some family members too so thought it be nice. I did get a shock when we started...

It's difficult to find fault with Bulworthy and in my view, the five star reviews this destination has received are well deserved. My only word of warning is that despite the fantastic lodges and picturesque surroundings, this probably isn't the best choice for a family holiday with young children (ours are 8 and 6). For young children who need to...

We read all reviews and were a bit apprehensive about the narrow roads but they were not that bad when we tackled them. The chestnut lodge we stayed in was huge, very clean, with a hot tub and had more than enough utilities for us . The BBQ was used every night and the kids loved the nature on the...

We've just enjoyed a fantastic holiday, we stayed in a lovely wooden log cabin called the lartches. The location is amazing, right in the middle of a secluded forest. Peace and quiet by the bucket load! We had our own hot tub which was a very pleasant experience indeed. We really can't praise this lodge enough. It would be a...

This was our 2nd stay at Bulworthy for the main purpose of Fishing. This time we had Hunter's Lodge right on the main lake. Very clean and well equipped including Tea Towels provided. The Lodge reached by several steps faces east so gets the morning sun. While there is a bench on the verandah there is no table so eating...

Stayed in Acorn, it was amazing. Home from home, all you need are your personal belongings, clothes etc. Lodge was spotless, the park beautifully kept it was idyllic, I could have stayed forever. Yes it's out of the way but that's what was needed for a quiet get away. The lane leading to the lodge was very narrow and muddy...

Stayed in Bluebell and wow was I impressed. Yes the lanes to the lodges are VERY narrow but you get used to them, they certainly are worth the trouble though. On entering the lodge I was amazed at the sheer size of them. There is a good size kitchen with everything you will need including washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and...

These lodges are well tucked out the way down country lanes but it is worth the effort. Second time we've been here and still love it. We stay in hunters lodge so no hot tubs but perfect for sitting on the verandah with a glass of wine watching the squirrels/heron/ducks/foxes/pheasants and my hubby even spotted a deer! Lodges are clean...

Lovely...
