This hotel is well located in Barrow. The accommodation is a bit tired, but is acceptable as a dormitory, and clean. As a contractor hotel I would recommend it, but not as a honeymoon hotel! Some might feel that walking from the hotel into the town centre is not that nice, but I had no issues with it.

Often stay here when visiting the Lakes. Good quality accommodation, very friendly and helpful staff, great value. One point of note is that the window of my room on the second floor would not open beyond just enough for minimal ventilation - fair enough for security reasons but at night the room was just too hot for my liking. The...

Stayed here on business and was really impressed with this hotel. Central location. Quick, friendly and efficient check in. WIFI codes are giving out to guests but you have to remember to ask. My room was excellent. Very spacious and even had a jacuzzi style bubble bath! Very relaxing! The bed was large and comfy. We ate in the adjourned...

My husband and I just had a lovely weekend at the Majestic. The staff were all lovely and friendly. The breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the lift is permanently out of order so climbing the stairs was a bit of a chore but luckily we only had one flight to go up. Our room was very quiet. One thing that...

Stayed here a couple of nights while working in the area. The hotel is a little tired in terms of the decor in places particularly the carpets on the stairs and also the furniture in the rooms is a little dated. The bathroom facilities in the room was immaculate with a lovely new power shower and screen. Good free WIFI...

Quick check in, staff friendly. Room was literally in the attic space, had to climb 8 flights of stairs, lift permanently out of order ! Which was a mission to get up after a few er lemonades !! Lol Room was pretty clean. To have a shower you'd have to stand in the bath and hold it while standing in...

Stayed over for one night in a family room en route to south lakeland safari zoo. Got to admit I was a bit dubious as I approached as the entrance looked like a back street night club. However kept an open mind and was very pleasantly surprised. Do not be put off by some of the reviews as the hotel...
