Great hotel, friendly staff, good food. We had the pleasure of staying in the annex, a new extension to the hotel with 8 additional rooms. Our room was on the ground floor with easy access. The room next door was used by a lady with a motorized wheelchair, so ground floor access was obviously excellent. Bathroom was well appointed with...

Five family members stayed at The Chetwynde hotel in May this year. I was really worried when I booked the hotel as I needed an electric wheelchair accessible hotel. This hotel was ideal and is really very wheelchair friendly. The staff are so helpful, courteous, kind and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is spotless and very well equipped...

Enjoyed recent 1 night stay, was upgraded to superior room on arrival which meant walk-in-shower and complimentary water and biscuits. Also had 2 course meal in the restaurant which had great service and highly rated our main courses. Not 5 stars due to poor room view onto rubble.

Stayed at the Chetwyn on a Saturday night as attending a private party there. We got a discount on a suite (Room 19) which was so good I would happily have paid full rate. Lovely public rooms and staff who can't do enough for you. An absolute pearl, give it a try.

Our room was fantastic, and spotless. It was on the top floor with fabulous view over the front lawn and gardens through a large picture window. The cream carpet...

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. The rooms in the new block are spacious and comfortable. The facilities are good. There is an on site restaurant which is not open Sunday. The vegetarian food was excellent. It is a short drive to the town centre. The staff are always pleasant and helpful

Local person having a social function nearby. Booked 2 rooms, 1 family room and superior double. Rooms lovely, beds very comfortable and staff extremely helpful. Breakfast in the morning gorgeous and not skimped on. Such a homely feel. Only area that could be improved was that the hot breakfast could have been warmer. Quality of food cannot be faulted, all...
