Had a lovely stay here on Wednesday. Owners were lovely, room was clean and tidy. Only downside to our room (2) was that we didn't have an ensuite. The toilet and shower were only for our room though, just a few steps down the landing and they were there. Clean also. It wouldn't put me off staying again though but...

We stayed here as a family, the owners were very friendly and welcoming. Our room for three was quite cramped could of done with a bigger room and our bathroom was over the landing (not ideal with a child) there was a bath and a shower but no plug for the bath :( that would've been lovely after our day...

You have said that the room was quite cramped and you could have done with a bigger room – you got the room that you booked and it states when booking that it is a small family room with private external bathroom so if you had read the room description and not booked as it was the cheapest room available...

Lovely, friendly and helpful service. The room was good and clean. Bathroom and toilet were not en-suite but we knew this prior to booking and worked out fine. Breakfast was nice and always served with a smile.

I've read the reviews below and had we not booked a family room for my wife and I and our 4 year old son we would have agreed with the positive reviews posted. This establishment seems to have a children should be seen and not heard policy, we booked in with an excited 4 year old who didn't settle until...

When i first come up to your room to ask you to keep your son quiet it was after 10pm and it was due to the guest next door who had complained about the noise and asked the landlady next door to have a word with us when you answered the door it looked like you had been asleep and...

Firstly we arrived about two hours earlier than we had said we would and this wasn't an issue, we received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our room. The rooms are a reasonable size and are comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was always brilliant and my partner was quite happy as he managed to get an extra egg a...

A group of six of us, two groups of three, stayed in two rooms for two nights. We enjoyed our experience. The property is located off the main drag in Bowness so is pretty quiet. Karen, the owner, was very pleasant and made good breakfasts. She had a system, which seemed logical to us, of having guests fill out pre-order...
