We have just stayed for 2 nights. Adrian, Heather and Hamish the Westie were fantastic hosts. The cottage is in a superb location walking distance into Bowness. The cottage is delightful and the gardens and waterfall stunning. We walked down to Stockghyll Water Meadow and watched the sun set which was spectacular. The home cooked breakfast each morning was scrumptious....

Very welcoming arrival, with Adrian and the Yorkie, Hamish. Clean room, comfortable bed and great breakfasts. Good base for exploring the Lake District. Good value for money and we would definitely stay again. The waterfall in the back garden is a bonus.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the late May bank holiday. There are only 3 rooms, so it's nice and quiet. We had the "small double" - and small it is. The bed takes up most of the room, so if you've got a decent amount of luggage you might find yourself stepping over things, but we only had...

A lovely family-run B&B, just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Bowness, perfect for a weekend away! Owners Adrian and Heather are so friendly and welcoming, and offered good tips on walks in the area! Delicious full English breakfast every morning with also the option of fruit, toast, yoghurt & cereal. There is construction over the road at...

We stayed at Stockghyll cottage for a two night break Friday till Sunday. We had room 2 which is a cosy ensuite room. The room also has a nice view out the front towards the lake. Unfortunately with the current building works across the road the view to the lake is somewhat diminished (although there was no disruption or noise...

Stayed here for one night. We rang ahead to let them know when we would arrive and the owner helpfully gave us directions as the road we would have taken was closed. Our room was small but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and there was enough choice for vegetarians as...

Our room was lovely and the B&B is within a short distance of the town. The owners were very helpful and their knowledge of the area was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. There is a beautiful garden with a stream at the back, although its near the road, the garden was a little haven.
