Overall this is a lovely hotel with breathtaking views over Lake Windermere. The staff were helpful and attentive and the food was excellent. It is a perfect location if you want to walk out and view the local shops and bars. The only things that we found a bit disappointing were, we booked a family room which it was but...

Stayed here for one night in March 2017. Charming hotel, nice decor and great staff. The hotel has retained a lot of its original features and the mixture of new and old blend really well. The bar area is a sight to behold! Would definitely stay again. A lake view is a must!

The hotel is in an amazing location on a hill facing the lake in the centre of Bowness. The restaurant and lounges all have amazing views across the lake and we upgraded to a room with a view which was stunning. The gardens are lovely and have paths down to the lake shore and a pleasant outside eating area. It...

This hotel was beautiful, and the grounds were amazing. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. The room was very big with a good size bathroom. They supplied a hair dryer, coffee machine, kettle as well as biscuits and a good selection of teas. There was a lounge, bar and two restaurants. The breakfast was very good. A good...

Stunning decor, amazing service. The communal reading and sitting rooms overlooking the lake are beautiful, like something out of a Jane Austen novel. Very close to town centre and little shops, very quaint area. Highly recommended

Upon arrival we struggled to get into a car space... however we had been pre warned that there would be a wedding on. We waited a few minutes and thankfully got a perfect spot. Upon entering the lovely glass reception we were immediately met by a helpful young man. I wasn't very thrilled that our stay had to be preauthorised...

We arrived Saturday afternoon and were greeted well, our room was very clean and modern with a great view of the Lake. Very close to the centre so an easy walk. It was a beautiful day so we sat in the grounds with a drink, there was a wedding being held which didn't interfere with our enjoyment. There are many...

We only stayed for one night but from when we walked in the staff were amazing! We were asked if we had mobility problems, which we don't and we're given the tower room. The views were fantastic with triple arched windows framing Lake Windermere. We had dinner in the evening, there was a mistake made with the order and the...

We adore this hotel, it as well as the Lake District has become part of our story. Our first time here was our daughter's first holiday in 2014. We returned in 2015 and got engaged. The last return was in August 2016 for me to recuperate from an illness. The hotel itself is very grand and fits in perfectly with...

Having a weekend break in the lakes-staying at the Belsfield. The hotel and setting are fantastic. Had dinner in the Brasserie last night. Steak was just ok - would not make this choice again. Breakfast was very nice this morning. Staff are very helpful and friendly . The room (64) has lovely views and is nicely decorated . Only downside...
