We were given a voucher a gift, and booked by telephone , on arrival were greeted by a very courteous waiter, who showed us to our reserved table ,which had a excellent view of Lake Windermere. There was an excellent choice of Teas / Coffees, the sandwiches arrived and were well presented, and of a good quality. We were then...

This was our second stay at this hotel and this time we were lucky enough to stay in one of the suites. These rooms are fabulous, amazing panoramic views, extremely comfortable, lovely decor. We had the added bonus of an amazing toilet, with extras, bidet, jet wash, etc, great feature. The views were sensational, right from going to sleep to waking up to a picture...

Dinner, bed and breakfast here overnight. Restaurant was excellent for the 5 course evening meal (glass of champagne at £15 made our eyes pop a bit), and for breakfast. We had a twin room, which was quite small, and would have been more suitable for one single bed. The bathroom was therefore disproportionately large, but welcome all the same! No...

Dear Sally O Thank you for your review. I am very pleased to read that you had a great stay in our hotel. I am also very happy that you have enjoyed 5 course meal in our lovely restaurant, although glass of champagne cost £9.95 (Prosecco £5.50 per glass) and not £15. I am more then happy to assist with...

Spent one night in the Belsfield. Nice classical hotel, comfy beds and great service. Had an Afternoon tea with view to the lake. Service was exceptionally good, silent and here if needed. One of the best places I ever stood overnight in UK,

A beautiful hotel where it's obvious great expense has been invested to produce a stunningly presented venue in a dramatic setting. Views over the lake both from our bedroom and the restaurant were uninterrupted and only spoilt by the Cumbrian weather . Both days we stayed the morning mist dwelled longer than its name suggests. I am unable to recommend...

Dear David Thank you for your review. I am pleased to read all the nice comments about our Hotel, its location, the views and decor. It is a shame that you cancel your dinner with us, the chaffing dishes are only used for breakfast and never used in our fine dining restaurant in the evenings. I will take on board...

I have stayed at the Belfield before the renovations were made and was looking forward to returning again as this hotel holds such a wonderful location. My second visit was as to my expectations, beautifully decorated by Laura Ashley and a few alterations downstairs to the reception and bar area adding a brasserie. There are enough rooms to sit and...

Good location with excellent views. Plenty of Laura Ashley catalogues but no newspapers. Rooms pleasantly decorated if you like that style. Our room featured the world's smallest en-suite, it may be in the Guinness Book of Records. Not only could you not swing a cat in it, you would have trouble swinging a hamster. When asked if we enjoyed our...

Dear CaptMainwairing Thank you for your review. Our hotel has a fantastic location with breathtaking views and it is nice to read that you have enjoyed it. I am sorry that your stay was affected by the size of the bathroom. The layout of the building dictates the room sizes and 3 or 4 rooms have small bathroom, although all...
