Very friendly and welcoming lady proprietor and I was pleasantly surprised that free wifi was provided. That said, the room was tired, and the en suite toilet and minute shower had lots of mold where the tiles meet the shower floor - I couldn't face using the shower because it was too grubby but my kids did use it. Parking...

We received a warm welcome into this old stone built guest house. We had a family room for myself, my wife, grandson and dog. The room was nice, with a small but perfectly adequate en suite. Breakfast each morning was fruit, fruit juice, cereals, and local produce very tasty full English. (I know the produce was locally sourced, as eggs...

B&B is lovely, very clean and rooms are a good size and beds are comfy but the bathroom is tiny! The sink is in the bedroom itself which is no major issue, the shower is very small so if you're taller than average you may struggle a bit. There is parking on site for around 6 cars but you have...

The owner was really nice and she welcomed us on an early arrival and was flexible to suit us. The breakfasts were good and we ate English breakfasts with fresh local ingredients. The bed was comfortable and clean but the bathroom was so small the sink was in the bedroom area and the shower and wc in a small cubby...

Very friendly service and great hosts. Accomodation is average but good enough for a Guest House. The most important thing in locations like these is to have a friendly host and they do excel at that at Brooklands.

We stay in Bowness about once a month and our usual location was full so we found Brooklands. We need somewhere that has a family room so our options are limited because many guesthouses in Bowness have quite small cosy rooms. Brooklands is family friendly, dog friendly and conveniently located. The road's not as busy as we'd expected and it's...

Stayed for one night (28th July) with my wife. Had room 6 (photos attached), shoddy room, very small toilet / shower room. Wall paper old and peeling, not worth the £77. Be aware parking is very tight, six cars in a tight drive. The hotel is on a busy road, at a junction so not so easy to access.barely any...

We stayed with family for one night before our daughter's wedding. A warm welcome and we were made to feel at home. Good, clean rooms, great service and an excellent breakfast. What more could you ask for?
