We stayed at the White Lodge for one night at the weekend, as my three-year-old had asked to stay at a hotel and go on a boat trip, having only stayed in houses and apartments on holidays. We picked this one due to its proximity to the town centre, given that three-year-olds have small legs that get tired easily. We...

Arrived for a few days rest in Bowness and that's what i got...the white lodge sits at the top of Lake Road and is a very short walk to the lake (don't forget your umbrella!) The last time i was here (June 16) i had room 5. This time I was given room 2 at the rear of the hotel...

Tasteful, up to date renovation, room definitely cozy (small), helpful and knowledgeable staff, delicious breakfast. Great finale to our walk on the Dales Way. If you're not burdened with luggage, it's a 15 min walk from the train station direct into town.

Stayed 2 nights in this lovely old house. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout the bedrooms especially. Our room was classed as a small double and whilst it wasn't as big as some of the others we saw on cleaning it was perfectly adequate and again spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was superb. The hotel is...

When we arrived I was a little concerned as the outside looked rather run down. However, the room was very clean and quite nicely decorated. The bedding and towels were lovely, clean fresh and white. We stayed in room 7, a family room at the top of the house. The room was extremely small - too small for a family...

At a complete loss to understand the negative reviews regarding rude managers and lack of hospitality. In addition reviews stating the hotel is "tired" or "old" are uncalled for - the hotel has character and if you want to stay in a boring magnolia box please look at booking a new build hotel. This hotel is wonderful - staff very...

A hotel, not far from the Dales Way. You need a taxi for Windermere station. The staff were pleasant. They didn't do dinner, but breakfast was ok. However, my room was definately on the small side and the wifi was not great in the room.

Had such an amazing two day experience at this magnificent hotel. Nothing was to much trouble for Tracey and her dedicated team. We arrived on Sunday for a two night break the hotel room was ready as was a bottle of Fizz and chocolates ( a very nice touch) for my birthday. The bathroom was spotless and thick fluffy towels...

My family's recent stay at the White Lodge was a traumatic experience for our otherwise wonderful trip to the Lake District and other parts of Northern England. And it is the first time we have encountered such a rude hotelier in our many trips to the UK. Let me tell the story. On 2 Sept 2016 evening at around 7.30...

You should really write fiction books for a living! As you know, your version is all completely untrue apart from the fact I threw you out of my hotel, which I would do again in an instant after the theft of another guests lake view/four poster room. You are lucky the police were not called, which was only because you...
