Our room was very large (a double bed and two singles) and lovely and bright and clean. We only needed a one night stay and Elim Bank Hotel is one of the only hotels in Bowness which allows this on a weekend so we were very grateful for that. The owner was lovely and couldn't do enough to help us...

Very good hosts, the room was clean and cosy and breakfast was nice! You can either have continental breakfast or the english one.The hotel is just 10minutes walk from the lake and it's on the main road. We'lldefinitely come back!

Went for a nice quiet weekend., and that's what I got... The hotel was spotless and very homely... Margaret and Brian are wonderful.... I will stay here again with out question...no complaints at all.... Xxx bowness on Windermere as become one of my favourite places... Plenty of pubs and places to eat and sights to see... We have previously stayed at the Elim Bank Hotel and we enjoyed our stay and the friendliness of the owners so we decided on this trip to stay there again. And the place was just the same with the same owners who demonstrated to same if not better friendliness then our previous stay in 2010. The area around is full...

Stayed here for two nights on 4th September. It was the most uncomfortable and awkward hotel I have ever been in. Please avoid when going to the Lake District, I wish I paid the extra to go somewhere better. Owners where a elderly couple. The lady owner was friendly, the man which I think his name is Brian was very...

Myself my partner and our son recently spent a few nights at the elim hotel. Greeted by Brian and Margaret who are warm and welcoming and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. They asked us about any special dietary requirements and expressed that although they had times for breakfast if we wanted a particularly early or later breakfast they...

Elim Bank is a comfy five minute stroll (downhill) into Bowness on Windermere. Lots of nice shops and plenty of places to eat for all tastes. We were greeted by Brian who was very friendly. We were allocated room 4 which had a big comfy bed and excellent en suite. Although the decor was dated it was very clean and...

Hotel is in an ideal location, and the breakfast was delicious. Decor is outdated, especially in the room. Margaret was lovely, Brian might not be everyone's cup of tea. He was pretty awkward and a bit patronising especially when we arrived, but polite enough overall. Was a bit disappointed at lack of amenities the room had to offer. Bed was...

Firstly this is on the main road between Bowness and Windermere - our website showed it on a side street so we had difficulty finding it. It is closer to Bowness rather than Windermere which is a big plus. However having found it we were pleasantly surprised - it really was home away from home. A cordial welcome followed by...

Booked on late rooms for a weekend break,we're met in the car park by Margaret letting us know where to park, we stayed in room 5 which was at the back of the house, very quiet, comfy bed, clean, good shower, the guest house itself is a lately dated decor wise but clwan. Breakfast was served in the dining room by brian,...
