Great Location, Lovely owners who cannot do enough for you. Room effortlessly clean and tidy. Brian and Margaret were lovely people. If you want mod cons go elsewhere. If you want good old fashioned b and b hospitality then this is for you. Parking+location+cleanliness+lovely owners+great breakie. Few negative, disrespectful reviews on here. Not many and there is a reason for...

Excellent b&b in a great location, clean and tidy, decent breakfast, free parking, 5 minutes walk to the lake, bars, and restaurants. Friendly informative owners would definitely stay again. Be prepared to pay London prices in some of the bars in bowness, 4.50 a pint, ouch!!!

The is a lovely little guest house within easy walking of all the facilities, shops and cinema in Bowness. Run by a friendly couple, who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The house and rooms were spotlessly clean. Our short stay was all rounded off with a great traditional English breakfast. A necessary (for us)...

We stayed at the Elim bank, a lovely hotel full of character, for my birthday weekend away. The hotel is owned by a lovely elderly couple who are clearly proud of their premises, and rightly so! Our room was spotless. We were in room 4 overlooking the hotel's own car park, which was an added bonus. The room was lovely...

Beautiful little traditional Victorian guest house within easy walking distance to either Windermere or Bowness. Run by a lovely, very hardworking couple who present a spotlessly clean property. We would definitely stay here again

The Elim Bank Hotel is on the main Lake Road as you head towards Bowness-on-Windermere. Although the outside looks "plain" the inside is quite the opposite. It is deliciously decorated with original wood panelling. "Mine hosts" - Margaret and Brian" are a delight and very welcoming. Rooms are clean, warm and cosy and en suite and the English breakfast is...

Even in early October, Saturday night in Bowness-on-Windermere was heavily booked out, so this wasn't our first choice. The decor is certainly dated so it is functional rather than luxurious. However the stay itself was very pleasant: excellent comfortable bed, spotless linen and bathroom, a good breakfast and a very kind agreement for us to check out late so as...

Really nice little place to stay. No complaints whatsoever. The B&B was a little dated but overall the place was immaculately clean and breakfasts were good after all you only use this place as a base. After reading some negative reviews prior to our trip I was a little wary on arrival. We stayed 3 nights we were greeted and...

Reception was very poor. Was questioned on arrival by a gentlemen with zero awareness of how awkward his manner is. When I arrive for an overnight stay, I expect either they or the company we booked through to be on the same page as to when payment is required! So what we are now left with is 2 payments from...
